Race 1
JOCAT finished third on debut over five furlongs in soft going and steps up to six furlongs today. She would have learnt from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, she could be the one to side with here. HIGH FASHION finished fourth first time up over 1100M and would also have come on with the outing. She could be the biggest threat to the former. ADDICTIONS showed good improvement last time out over 1300M and should enjoy the drop in distance. FORTYFIVEDEGREES has improved with each start and was just behind the winner in her last outing over six furlongs. She has a wide draw to overcome, but she should be doing her best work late.

Race 2
This looks a tricky contest in that the top three selections all return from breaks and none have had a barrier trial, so their fitness needs to be taken on trust. The narrow first choice goes to BUNGALOW BILL who resumes from a 31-week rest. He has a wide draw to negotiate, but he could use his early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy. OFFICE JIM returns after a 13-week break. He drops back to sprinting after two outings over a mile and jumping from pole position, he could trouble the former. ONEFORTHEBROTHERS returns from a 16-week rest and is another with a wide draw to overcome. He has only had the two runs to date and could have more to offer here. EQUIWHO likes to race handy in his races and showed marked improvement last time out over this trip. If he is able to confirm that effort, he should be considered in this field.

Race 3
EXACT REPLICA likes to race handy in her races and was only run out of it in the latter stages last time out over 1300M. She has a wide draw to overcome, but she should be right up there in the race down to the wire. EVIE GIRL was only beaten in the shadow of the post last time out over 1300M and represents a big threat to the former. MELARITA returns from a 27-week break, but did finish third over a mile before the rest. She too has a wide draw to beat, but she should be picking off the frontrunners in the latter stages. AKIMA, on the other hand, starts from a handy draw. She has only had the one run where she finished four lengths behind the winner over six furlongs. She would have benefitted from the outing and could well be looking for the increase in distance.

Race 4
HE’S RUN AWAY has consistent formlines to his name and was beaten a short head last time out over 1500M. He drops to a lesser centre and starts from a handy draw. He could be very difficult to topple here. POMMETIER has only had the two runs to date and drops back to the mile after finishing 5.6L behind last time out over 1700M and might do better as a result. CHOOKSTER, on the other hand, steps up in trip and will jump from pole position. He must have some sort of chance in this line-up, on what he has shown so far. MISS VICKI is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys. She has a poor draw, but she stayed on last time out over seven furlongs and could appreciate the extra ground here.

Race 5
NOVEMBER DREAMING is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she has consistent formlines to her credit and finished second in her last outing over six furlongs in heavy going. She finished second over the mile three runs back and should have no issues with the trip. GRACIAS AMIGO followed up his win over 1500M with a two-length loss over a mile next time out. He should be respected here. SURETOSHINE is a 5yr old mare who was only beaten 0.6L over 1500M last time out. She has a wide draw but should be running on at the business end of affairs. CURLY BURGIN won at only the second time over asking and clearly has some ability. He tries the mile today, but he could be looking for this greater test of stamina.

Race 6
Two 4yr old fillies could dominate the finish of this race. TABERNA finished strongly to collar the leaders right on the line to claim victory over seven furlongs last time out. She has a wide draw to overcome, but she should once again be closing down on the leaders in the latter stages. HAMSLETTE is taken to follow her home. She finished second last time out over six furlongs and is likely to also be doing her best work late. SHOOT FOR COOMAAH nearly caused the upset when narrowly beaten last time out over seven furlongs. If he is able to confirm that effort, he should be right up there in the mix. FUDGED is a 6yr old mare who showed good improvement in her last outing over seven furlongs. If she has continued along that same path, she could be involved in the finish today.

Race 7
ALFA ORO has consistent form, having won on debut and then finishing second in his next two starts. His second-place finish over six furlongs last time out was in heavy going and he will be hoping to maintain his solid record here. LAKE’S FOLLY returns from a 17-week rest, but he is seldom too far off the action and could be considered as the biggest threat to the former. ZIPSPUR followed up his penultimate victory over this distance with a fourth-place finish, just 2.2L behind the winner next time out over the same trip. He should not be ignored in this field. GOVERNOR LANDY has finished second or third in his last three outings over this distance and was running on well in his latest start. From his mid-field draw, he should be involved in the finish here.

Race 8
KOOTARA’S last three runs over this six-furlong trip have been encouraging and she has proven form in soft underfoot conditions. From her mid-field draw she should be right up there in the run down to the finishing post. ALEDA finished third last time out over this distance, beaten just over two lengths. She did win over this distance three runs back and needs to be taken seriously in this line-up. BUTTON EXPRESS was a winner over the six furlongs last time out and has pulled pole position. On form he must be included in all bets. GYPSY DANGER returns from a 19-week break. She has her hat-trick attempt today but has a wide draw to deal with. She should, however, be afforded the utmost respect.
