POWER RANGER produced a promising debut effort over 1160m at Turffontein. He understandably raced green, but showed good pace and stayed on at the finish. The son of Silvano would have gained from the experience and should enjoy the extra distance on offer. Muzi Yeni retains the ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.

ZEAL AND ZEST was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 2400m at Turffontein. He has won twice, finished second twice and third twice from 13 starts on this course. The 7yo gelding tries the 2800m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should notch up his tenth career victory.
