CATTERICK BRIDGE
Race 2 No3 ENTWISTLE (Nap)
Trainer: Karl Burke – Jockey: Clifford Lee
ENTWISTLE looked stronger the further he travelled when decisively opening his account here last month and the Garswood gelding can follow-up on handicap debut. His shrewd handler appears to have found a perfect opportunity for him.
Race 5 No8 FOSSOS
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: David Allan
This outfit can do no wrong with its handicappers, and fresh from a treble at Thirsk on Sunday FOSSOS can add to his battling success at Redcar. That narrow triumph should have served to give him a confidence boost.
CHELMSFORD CITY
Race 7 No7 ALMADRINA (Nap)
Trainer: George Boughey – Jockey: David Egan
Australia filly ALMADRINA has struggled to add to her early-season spoils with three seconds since that Brighton success. However, there’s a lot to like about the way she picks up prizes and this first visit to Chelmsford can see her deservedly back in the winner’s circle.
FFOS LAS
Race 3 No2 ZUHAIR (Nap)
Trainer: Marcus Tregoning – Jockey: Dane O’Neill
Having finished last on his Newbury Debut, ZUHAIR embarked on the 2021 campaign with a clear cut success at Nottingham. The Showcasing gelding can now go back-to-back by beating the more exposed Victorious Night.
Race 5 No5 NEVERBEEN TO PARIS (Each Way)
Trainer: Harry Whittington – Jockey: Miss Serena Brotherton
NEVERBEEN TO PARIS failed to cut the mustard on his latest start at Pontefract but is capable of showing that to be all wrong on this first visit to Ffos Las. His previous near miss at Yarmouth was a lot more encouraging, and shows what he is capable of.
LINGFIELD PARK
Race 5 No5 PROFOUND ALEXANDER (Nap)
Trainer: William Muir – Jockey: Martin Dwyer
Kodiac filly PROFOUND ALEXANDER was badly out of her depth in a Listed race at Sandown won by the smart Inspiral but is going to be a different kettle of fish back in her comfort zone, and can endorse the promise of her previous three earning runs with a first career win.
NOTTINGHAM
Race 2 No6 CLIFFORD (Each Way)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Graham Lee
CLIFFORD gained a handicap mark when unsuited by the sharp Catterick track and is better judged on his second to Devaste at Brighton. The chestnut has always looked the type that will do better when going down the nursery route.
Race 4 No3 NEPTUNE SEAS (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: William Buick
NEPTUNE SEAS is on a recovery mission after his Doncaster defeat but needs to be given the chance to redeem himself in what looks a weaker contest.
Race 7 No2 BOOGIE TIME
Trainer: Karl Burke – Jockey: Adam Kirby
BOOGIE TIME got the job done impressively when opening his account for the season at Doncaster and with similar conditions abounding can consolidate for a stable that is amongst the winners.
