The 29-year-old midfielder Sithebe has been strongly linked to Kaizer Chiefs with suggestions doing the rounds that he has already signed a pre-contract.

Even if Sithebe has signed a pre-contract, AmaZulu have the right to stop the move in January as his contract still has around six months to run.

AmaZulu chairman Sandile Zungu reportedly wants to keep the three players, who are in the last six months of their contracts, and plans on having talks with them before the end of January.

A Soccer Laduma source confirms the players know that the club wants to keep them but it is unclear if they are prepared to stay at Usuthu.

“The club is not planning to let go of any of their key players. I can tell you Sithebe, Mothwa and Maduna will be offered new contracts.

“The meeting is set to take place in the coming weeks but the players know that the club wants to keep them,” said the Soccer Laduma source.

“AmaZulu players and staff will return from their Christmas break next week, when it is expected the contracts will be discussed.”
