Cape Town City left-back Terrence Mashego is gutted to be missing out for Bafana in their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Morocco.
The 23-year-old suffered a knee injury was forced to withdraw from Thursday’s clash at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
He was subsequently ruled out from travelling with the squad to North Africa this weekend after confirming he had torn his meniscus.
The influential defender though is banking on his teammates to do the business in his absence.
Mashego said on Soccer Laduma: “I was looking forward to this game, but I believe we still have Lyle Lakay and (Innocent) Maela who I believe can do the job.
“I just have to focus on my injury right now and make sure that I come back.”
