If there is one thing the UCL can guarantee us, its goals! Chelsea were dispatched 1-0 by Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday evening – the Blues now have nothing to show for their previous three away fixtures across all competitions.

PSG’s quest for a maiden Champions League title got off to an ideal starts they beat Juventus 2-1. Erling Haaland’s brace was enough to see his side run out comfortable 4-0 winners away at Sevilla, whilst reigning champions Real Madrid put three unanswered goals past Celtic.

Last season’s runners-up, Liverpool, are in action tonight and the midweek fixture may just be what the Reds need following a shaky start to their domestic campaign.

The group of death delivers us a gripping encounter when Inter Milan play host to Bayern Munich. With that being said, here are a few players to keep your eye out for tonight!

Martinez hoping to replicate Serie A form in Europe

Lautaro Martinez has returned three goals across his Serie A appearances this season. The Inter hitman managed 20 efforts during that period with only two players attempting more. The Argentine attacker could have added to his tally as seen by his three big chances missed. He’s also bagged an assist from the nine changes he’s created. With Romelu Lukaku back in the fold at Inter, Martinez will have an added incentive to bury those chances.

Lewa to bring European glory back to Barcelona?

Last season, no Bundesliga player registered more goal involvements than Robert Lewandowski’s 38. The Polish hitman has since swapped the colours of Bavarians for those of Barcelona. He has hit the ground running in for the Catalans and currently tops the LaLiga scoring charts with five strikes to his name. Additionally, the 34-year-old has hit the woodwork twice while also missing six big chances in that time. The striker indicated that he wanted a new challenge with this move and with the ease he’s scoring in Spain, perhaps he will be properly tested on the European stage?

Bergwijn eager to prove himself on the European stage

Steven Bergwijn has been enjoying life in his native Netherlands. The Dutch international left Tottenham for Ajax and it appears to be a match made in heaven. He has been ruthless in the Dutch top-flight, netting six goals from just eight shots on target across his five league appearances. Bergwijn’s transfer to Ajax may have flown under the radar for fans of the English game, but he could well announce himself in style when Eredivisie champions take on Rangers tonight.

Morata back at Atletico with a point to prove

Following a two-year loan spell where he notched up 35 goal involvements across 67 league appearances for Juventus, Alvaro Morata has returned to Atelti looking like a man on a mission. The Los Colchoneros forward has netted three times from his eight shots on target across four LaLiga appearances. Morata went into the history books in 2015, when he became just the second Spaniard to score in 5 consecutive UCL fixtures. He will feel he has a point to prove for Europe’s nearly men.

Kamada relishing step up to the big time

Eintracht Frankfurt appear to be a team on the up. Despite finding themselves in the bottom half of the Bundesliga, they’ve netted four goals in back-to-back league outings. Daichi Kamada has registered five goal involvements for the Frankfurt club and is showing no signs of slowing down. The Japanese forward has bagged three goals and two assists across on the league and will be looking to emulate that form in Frankfurt’s inaugural UCL campaign. He was ridiculously good in the Europa League last season, putting in a top-class performance against West Ham in the semi-final en-route to winning the competition. Could this be the football fairytale of the season?
