Cape Town City 47/10 | Draw 7/4 | SuperSport United 2/1

Both these teams marked the return of club football with convincing wins over Royal AM and Gallants respectively. They now face each other with lots to play for, particularly for Matsatsantsa who will jump to second position should they win today. They are certainly building up momentum and have now gone five games without losing. However, Eric Tinkler’s squad is energetic and is currently unbeaten at home in six matches. I expect goals and plenty of action as both these teams aim to enter the new year with a victory. I’m on both teams to score here at 19/20.

Mamelodi Sundowns 4/10 | Draw 28/10 | Swallows 6/1

Mamelodi Sundowns proved their class when they saw off Orlando Pirates with a comfortable 2-0 win at home in the return of the DStv Premiership. Their opponents on Tuesday, Swallows, have only won three times from 13 games played this season. On paper, this should be an easy walk-over for the reigning campions, especially when you look at Swallows’ poor defensive record. But newly-appointed Ernst Middendorp will look to lift his men up and avoid a disappointing start to his tenure with the Dube Birds. Given the ruthlessness of Rulani Mokwena’s men, I give Swallows very little chance at getting anything out of this encounter. Back the HOME WIN at 4/10.

Sekhukhune United 27/20 | Draw 33/20 | Gallants 22/10

Sekhukhune have now gone four games without a win after being held to a goalless draw by Usuthu on New Year’s eve. They’ve only managed to score two goals in their last five matches and come up against a side that doesn’t give away goals easily. But Gallants have hardly been prolific themselves in recent games. They have won just one of their last four after going down to SuperSport United. So, this should be low scoring affair – and could go either way at Under 2.5 goals is my play here at 4/10.

Royal AM 17/20 | Draw 2/1 | TS Galaxy 32/10

Level on points and separated by goal difference, Royal AM and Galaxy face off at the Chatsworth Stadium aiming to improve their positions on the log. Thwihli Thwahla’s poor form in the league continued when Cape Town City beat them to ensure a fifth defeat from six games. This will be a worrying factor for the Durban side, especially with Galazy being a tough opponent to break down and scored against. They are unbeaten in their last four after seeing off Maritzburg United last time out and should be able to avoid defeat once again on Tuesday night. DRAW -A share of the spoils at 2/1.
