BOWL FIRST has produced two good efforts to date. He raced from a handy position over 1450m on this course last time, but found one too good in the form of Robert Burns. The son of Rabada should love the rise to the mile. Stable jockey Keagan de Melo takes the ride and in this type of field, he should take a power of beating.

SEQUOIA’S last two starts over 1500m have been good. He raced from a handy position last time, moved up well but found one too good in the form of Meridius. The son of Querari takes a drop in class and if seeing out the 1800m, he can return to winning ways.

Jockey: S Khumalo – Trainer: M Houdalakis
NONE OTHER tried hard in the Grade 3 Fillies Mile last time, but found one too good in the form of Emirate Gina. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Flower Alley will be at home over this distance. She takes a drop in class and should be too good for this field.

COOL WINTER’S last two starts have been fair. He finished 2.25 lengths behind STORMY SEAS in his penultimate run. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He takes a drop in class today and with a bit of luck from barrier 12, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
