Hollywoodbets Dolphins Star Awards 2020

Hollywoodbets Kingsmead played host to the fourth annual Hollywoodbets Dolphins Star Awards. These awards have been used for the past four seasons to highlight and recognise the outstanding performances of the players from the previous campaign.

Team Award – Momentum One Day Cup 19/20

Hollywoodbets Dolphins Star Awards


Hollywoodbets was thrilled to hand over R200 000 to the Momentum One Day Cup squad and backroom staff from the 2019/20 season after winning the competition. 

Individual Awards

Robbie Frylinck

Robbie claimed the first prize on the day, being rewarded for his excellent 78 as the Hollywoodbets drew against the Lions in Bloemfontein in the CSA 4-Day Franchise Series. 

Smangaliso Nhlebela

Smangaliso was up next for his figures for 4/109 in the draw at the PMB Oval against the Cape Cobras. 

Vaughn van Jaarsveld

Vaughn van Jaarsveld bagged his award for his 50 against the Lions at the PMB Oval, a game which the Hollywoodbets Dolphins would go on to win.

Daryn Dupavillion

For his 4/29 against the Lions in the four-day win at the PMB Oval, Darryn Dupavillion claimed the next award. 

Khaya Zonda
Khaya Zondo got his hands on his award for two solid batting displays – 60 against the Titans at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead (MODC) and 67 vs the Cape Cobras at the PMB Oval (four-day)

Andile Phelukwayo

All-rounder, Andile Phelukwayo was up next, gaining recognition for his batting in four-day competition. His first for 61 against the Cobras in Oudtshoorn as well as a further 67 against the same opposition at the PMB Oval. 

Keshav Maharaj

Yet another Protea all-rounder up next in the form of Keshav Maharaj. Both of his performances came in the Momentum One Day Cup with figures of 4/32 against the Knights in Bloem as well as his 50* and 4/24 against the Cape Cobras at Newlands.

Marques Ackerman

Marques Ackerman was wonderfully consistent with the bat throughout last season, scoring a half-century against every other franchise as well as century against the Lions at the PMB Oval in the four-day competition.

Senuran Muthusamy
Senuran scored a battling 80 against the Knights in Bloemfontein, but his standout performance came in the win against the Cape Cobras in Oudshoorn. In the second innings of that game, he claimed figures of 7/36, completing a 10fer for the match as the Cobras were dismissed for 86 in their second innings. 

Prenelan Subrayen

Prenelan claimed three 4fers and three 5fers last season, with two of those 5fers coming against the Knights while the other came in the home win against the Lions. 

Sarel Erwee

Sarel was once again outstanding last season, claiming three centuries and four half-centuries. He got two 100s in the four-day competition against the Lions and the Knights. His other 100 came in the MODC against the Warriors at the PMB Oval. 

Grant Roelofsen

Four centuries and six half-centuries. Grant was on fire last season with two four-day centuries against the Cobras and another against teh Warriors. Then in the MODC, he scored an incredibly 147* against the Titans at Centurion.
