This after leading her team to a 7-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the second match of the Women’s ODI series in Kimberley on Saturday.

Wolvaardt herself went on to also score a scintillating 110 not out where she ultimately overtook Australia’s Ellyse Perry to fifth position in the batting rankings.

The 24-year-old has been ranked the number one ODI batsman in the past and is presently ranked third in the ICC Women’s T20I batting rankings.

Meanwhile, in other ODI ranking news, Marizanne Kapp and Ayabonga Khaka have moved up a place each to third and seventh positions, respectively, in the ODI bowling rankings.

Ayabonga Khaka also made her 100th appearance in the ODI platform on Wednesday. Reflecting on her 100th cap, a modest Khaka shared that she is not the person who always looks at milestones.

“I enjoy playing for my country and I am honoured that I will have a possibility to achieve that tomorrow.

“To be honest, I’m just a cricketer. I’ll take it that I’m achieving a milestone that other people have achieved. I’m not looking at it as I’m the first one, but I’m grateful to be part of the group that has achieved that. We have had great players before me, and I’m just honoured to be part of them.”

According to CSA, Khaka has also made history as the first black woman and only the third black African cricketer to achieve a century of matches in the 50-over format in South African cricket.
