New Zealand vs India | 22 November 2022 | McLean Park, Napier | 08:30

To Win Match
New Zealand 82/100 | Tie 25/1 | India 1/1

The hosts fell flat in a big chase last time out and need to find a way to keep pace with India in the power game.

Lockie Ferguson got wickets but at some cost against an aggressive touring side, and he could do with a little more control.

Kane Williamson hasn’t been very fluent, and his use of many deliveries could draw more criticism for the skipper.

Tim Southee got early wickets but New Zealand couldn’t ram home their advantage and they will need to take their chances better.

Suryakumar Yadav put the hammer down for India last time out and New Zealand had no answer, if he can repeat that feat then his side will surely take home the series.

India might be concerned that they were something of a one-man band in that victory at the Bay Oval, with wickets tumbling around Suryakumar.

Deepak Hooda is another game-changer for India, as he can also win matches with the bat and often deals heavy blows with the ball.

Yuzvendra Chahal has been difficult to get away for any batters, and it should be noted that when teams have successfully taken him on they often beat India.

India should close the series out with a win, and at even money, they look excellent value!
