England 47/100 | Tie 25/1 | New Zealand 7/4

Jonny Bairstow led the way for England last time out as he blasted the bowling to all parts of a real celebration of smashing it.

Harry Brook was able to back Bairstow up quite well and England put up an imposing total.

There appears to be a big disparity in batting potency at least with New Zealand’s top order struggling against the moving ball.

After his efforts in the Hundred, Gus Atkinson burst onto the international T20 scene with a great four-wicket haul.

The failure to get anywhere close to batting out their 20 overs will be a point of pain for the Black Caps.

Tim Seifert and Glenn Phillips threatened to right the ship but their departure signalled the end of New Zealand’s resistance.

Strangely in swing-friendly conditons, it was New Zealand’s spinners who got the most out of the surface.

Adam Milne bowled economically, but a lack of penetration in the powerplay cost New Zealand dearly.

Verdict: England

England should seal the series win.
