Zimbabwe keep improving through this series and their focus won’t be on the results but on getting better.

The Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium takes over the hosting duties now. Zimbabwe have played six T20Is at the ground with just one win to their name in that time.

The Tigers’ big concern through this series has to be the form of Liton Das, who would have been expected to lead the way for his team.

Instead, it has been Towhid Hridoy who has stepped up to be the commanding top-order presence the hosts have needed.

The pace-friendly conditions in the coastal city of Chattogram give way to the typically spinning wickets in Dhaka which might be bad news for Taskin Ahmed, who has started the series on fire.

Fortunately, Mahedi Hasan has also bowled very well and Bangladesh have great spin options available to them.

Zimbabwe’s woes have been generated by a lack of runs from their top-order batters.

An absence of batters crossing 50 for Zimbabwe has been a serious problem for the tourists but there have been encouraging knocks from Johnathan Campbell and Brian Bennett.

Blessing Muzarabani has been the only Zimbabwe player who truly looks like an international star as he leads the attack.

Zimbabwe’s extra spin options might also get some exercise in Dhaka but they also need something from their veteran players like skipper Sikandar Raza and middle-order batter Craig Ervine.

Verdict: Bangladesh

There is no way back into the series for Zimbabwe and Bangladesh will want to keep on winning with the World Cup looming.
