Arnautovic Makes Move to China

Soccer Players celebrate a goal

Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai SIPG have signed Austrian international forward Marko Arnautovic from West Ham for £22.4million.

The 30-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to China for some time and became disgruntled after a switch failed to go through in the January transfer window.

Following renewed interest from China last week, the 30-year-old told the Hammers he wanted to leave, and on this occasion they have decided not to stand in his way.

West Ham do not want a potentially disruptive influence to remain at the club and have decided to cash in and use the money to sign someone who wants to play for them.

The increased bid from Shanghai SIPG has now met the valuation and the Austria international is now on his way to the Far East.
