Belarusian Premier League GW7 Preview

BATE got back to winning ways which was sparked by Stanislav Dragun’s brilliant volley. We correctly tipped the value bet of last week’s action which saw reigning champions Dinamo Brest suffer back-to-back league defeats for the first time since 2016, at the hands of Shakhter at 24/10. Five of our eight picks were tipped correctly in our previous preview, let’s try to improve on that with this week’s tips as Belarusian football continues into May.

Saturday 2 May

Minsk 16/10
Draw 2/1
Torpedo Zhodino 7/4
(13:00)

Minsk snapped a three-game winless streak in a 3-1 win over Slavia Mozyr. The hosts were fortunate to be awarded the first goal in the win as it was offside in my opinion, but they put the game to bed with cool finishes. Torpedo Zhodino’s Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Ramos missed the clearest chance in a goalless draw that made our treble lose last week. The visitors dominated large periods of the game but let the opponents back into the game during the last 30 minutes of the match. Both Teams to Score (No) is the best bet at 7/10.

Rukh 11/10
Draw 2/1
Gorodeya 26/10
(15:00)

Rukh’s Senegalese forward Abdoulaye Diallo missed a great chance to steal all three points at Torpedo Zhodino. With poor finishing like this, the hosts have the worst record of only scoring twice in six games, however, they do have the best defence, only conceding twice. Gorodeya’s three-game winning streak was broken by BATE and conceded a league goal after 343 minutes. My money is on Gorodeya to edge this encounter at 26/10.

Dinamo Minsk 7/10
Draw 26/10
Slutsk 36/10
(17:00)

This matchup promises goals between two of the league’s top scorers at this stage. Dinamo Minsk come off a 3-1 win at Smolevichi, while Slutsk summit the standings after beating Belshina 3-2. Dinamo Minsk have won all of their home games and Slutsk have won all of their games on the road. Both Teams to Score (Yes) at 19/20 is tipped confidently.

Sunday 3 May

Belshina 9/2
Draw 29/10
Dinamo Brest 11/20
(13:00)

Belshina’s Nikita Rochev was sent off at a crucial stage with the game locked at 2-2 and five minutes left on the clock. The hosts left the encounter with no points after conceding two minutes from full-time in the 3-2 loss at Slutsk and remain winless in the league. Dinamo Brest will be desperate to get back to winning ways. The visitors conceded through poor marking and need to improve in that area. The champions are a banker at 11/20.

Vitebsk 27/20
Draw 21/10
Slavia Mozyr 2/1
(15:00)

Vitebsk will be happy to return to their home grounds where they have won all of their games and kept clean sheets. The hosts lost 2-0 last time out during their visit to Isloch that broke their three-game unbeaten run. Slavia come into the clash with back-to-back defeats, despite Vladislav Zhuk scoring the goal of the week in their 3-1 defeat at the hands of Minsk. Take Vitebsk for the win at 27/20.

BATE 7/20
Draw 34/10
Neman Grodno 15/2
(17:00)

BATE continued their pursuit for the top spot and jumped up four places to fourth on the standings after their 2-0 win at in-form Gorodeya. Neman Grodno treated their fans to the best game of the season, a 3-0 win over Energetik-BGU that ended a poor run of three winless matches. BATE is a banker at 7/20, but if you are brave, take Correct Score 1-0 at 36/10.

Shakhter 6/10
Draw 11/4
Isloch 17/4
(19:00)

Following three games without a win, Shakhter caused the upset of last weekend when they defeated champions Dinamo Brest 2-0. They soaked up constant waves of attack and put together a beautifully well-worked team goal to take the lead in the encounter. Isloch come into the clash with two wins on the bounce. Momo Yansane put in a Man of the Match performance, earning his team a penalty and putting the game to bed with his team’s second goal. Under 2.5 Goals at 15/20 looks a solid bet.

TREBLE @ 10/1
Dinamo Minsk vs Slutsk BTTS (Yes) 19/20
Gorodeya Win 26/10
Dinamo Brest Win 11/20
