Rugby Player gets tackled

South Africa were full value for their 41-23 win over Argentina in Salta on Saturday 26 August.

The Springboks claimed an impressive 41-23 win over Argentina on Saturday evening in their Rugby Championship clash on Saturday.

The win sees South Africa climb to the top of the standings with nine points a +40 point difference ahead of New Zealand who are on the same amount of points but only have a +26 differential.

While it took the Boks a while to come into the game with Elton Jantjies missing two very kickable penalties. The visitors would take the lead in the 20th minute as Siya Kolisi dotted down after reciveing a great ball from Jesse Kriel.

Discpline was letting the Argentine’s down as they were reduced to 14 men for at least 20 minutes of the first half. Things went from bad to worse for the hosts as Tomas Lavanini was handed his marching orders in the second half with 22 minutes to play.

Jantjies scored almost immediately after the card was issued. The South Americans rallied again grabbing another seven points as Matias Orlando went over with Sanchez adding the two. Sanchez would add another penalty as the hosts threatened to come back.

It wasn’t to be, however, as Jean-Luc du Preez scored in the corner with Janties making no mistake with the conversion late on in the piece to put the game beyond doubt.
