Jeff Horn
Jeff “The Hornet” Horn was born in Brisbane, Australia and is 29-years of age. Horn has 17 fights under his belt, with 16 wins – 11 KO’s – and 1 draw. The Aussie Dynamo is yet to taste defeat.

A former Olympian representative for Australia, Horn started his Amateur career in 2009, breaking into the Professional arena in 2013. In boxing terms, he’s still very much a newcomer in the game.

Horn caught the eye of the WBO after he dropped former IBO welterweight champion, South African, Ali Funeka in the sixth round. The upcoming bout against Pacquiao could earn Horn the WBO Welterweight Champion title and one of the biggest achievements of his career to date.

Come Sunday, Horn will leave it all in the ring in front of his 50 000 plus home fans and this could be the fight that skyrockets his career should he cause an upset.

Manny Pacquiao

Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao can lay claim to one of the most illustrious and highly decorated careers of all time. The Filipino southpaw has fought in over six different weight classes to date and has held major world titles for six of those divisions.
Pac Man’s last bout was in November 2016 when he beat Jessie Vargas by unanimous decision. In the same year he beat Timothy Bradley an opponent he’s faced three times and beaten twice. But in probably the most controversial and highly promoted fight he fought Floyd Mayweather and lost by unanimous decision, a fight some critics say was dubiously fixed.

At the mature age of 38 Pacquiao is still raring to go and as the favourite, he’s tipped to retain his title.

The stage is set and “The Battle of Brisbane” awaits as the home favourite takes on a global icon.

Verdict: Manny Pacquiao 2/13
Although Jeff Horn will have the home ground advantage it’s unlikely he’ll cause an upset against the veteran Manny Pacquiao.
