Cape Town City Extend Key Player Deals

Zidane Linked to 3 Billion Move to Qatar

Cape Town City have reportedly extended the deals of Ebrahim Seedat and Surprise Ralani with both being key performers in 2017/18 for the Citizens.

Seedat made 17 league appearances for the Benni McCarthy-coached outfit and has proved himself as a capable defender in the Premiership over the last two campaigns.

Meanwhile, Ralani joined City in January and quickly became an integral part of the set-up with some eye-catching displays for the outfit from the Mother City.

The side are in the process of strengthening their ranks after the release of a number of experienced players such as Tshepo Gumede, Vincent Kobola, Sibusiso Masina, and Shu-Aib Walters.

In addition, veteran centre-back Robyn Johannes is leaving to join 2016/17 PSL champions Bidvest Wits as well.

According to Soccer Laduma, City exercised the one-year option they had on Ralani’s contract which will see him stay until the end of 2018/19.

With that said, Seedat is handed another three years with the club meaning he will stay on until at least the end of 2020/21 if all goes harmoniously.

The publication added that Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo is said to be a target, as they look to find a replacement for the departed Walters.
