Erik Ten Hag Reportedly Losing Half Of Manchester United Changeroom

Reports from England have revealed that Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag is facing a revolt from a majority of his players amid a season threatening to go off the rails.

Reports from England have revealed that Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag is facing a revolt from a majority of his players amid a season threatening to go off the rails.

Here is a story that has become all too familiar in the years since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson: a Manchester United manager is losing the changeroom. That is if news out of England is to be believed.

According to Eurosport, current boss Erik Ten Hag is facing a revolt among “more than half” of the players under his watch. This is in the middle of a dangerously placed season wherein the team is on the verge of elimination from the UEFA Champions League, has exited the Carabo Cup and is increasingly drifting away from a top four finish in the Premier League.

Referencing The Mirror, the article reads:

“Erik ten Hag is staring at a dressing-room revolt with several Manchester United players said to be disillusioned and unhappy with their current plight. United have lost 10 matches already this season, with Anthony Martial clashing with Ten Hag during Saturday’s defeat to Newcastle and Marcus Rashford criticised for his performance as well.”

It is believed that Ten Hag’s deteriorated relationship with cast-out Jadon Sancho is causing the friction inside the changeroom. Some of United’s players are said to “feel Ten Hag’s stubborn stance is misplaced and proving to the detriment of the team.”

Following an insipid 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United last Saturday, the Red Devils are in for a crunch run of matches in the next week and more, including matches against Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Liverpool. This usually the time a Manchester United manager is sacked, so it remains to be seen what the future holds for the under-pressure Dutchman.
