The three-year old filly LEIA ORGANA has smart form and she finished well for 2nd on the Highveld a week ago. She had a pleasing local debut on this course prior to that and though she faces a stern test with top weight against male rivals today, she could still pull this off.

The in-form four-year old PRETTY WENDY easily beat SULTRY and lesser rivals over an extra furlong last month but the resultant seven pound hike and the slight drop in distance are definite concerns for the well-related daughter of Dynasty. That said, she is well drawn and is still weight to beat the latter.

The PE visitors DESERT WISDOM and FRIKKIE are the form contenders in the day’s topliner and the stable companions command serious respect, with a slight preference for the former who is having his local debut. He had the latter exactly three lengths adrift when the pair clashed in a feature over this trip on the polytrack last month and he is 2.5kgs better off.
