Hollywoodbets Comrades 2015 – How purple can you go?

The 90th Comrades marathon had over 400 Hollywoodbets.net team members assemble before sunrise on Sunday 31 May at Hillcrest station. What a spectacular day it was for the team at our 6th Comrades appearance, all kitted out adding purple power to the event. Team members spurred on the runners, with amazing encouragement and cheer and provided much needed refreshment and the occasional plaster.


A guest appearance by Captain Hollywood ensured the route was clear for the first runners and he ran alongside the two Hollywoodbets team members as they passed under the purple banners.

Well done to all the participants. It was a proud day for South Africa with both the ladies and men’s winners hailing from the ‘rainbow nation’. Caroline Wostmann became the first South African female to win since 1988 and Gift Kelehe emulated his brother in winning the men’s title.
