Race 1
EXPRESS FANTASY is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she has her hat-trick run here after winning her last two starts over six furlongs at this track by more than three lengths. She takes a step up in distance, but the manner in which she has finished off her races suggest that this should not be an issue. From pole position, she is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. DOLLAREURO also has his hat-trick outing having won his last run over this c&d by some two and a half lengths, despite being cut into. He looks to be the immediate danger to the top choice. SUPERBOWL SUNDAY did not get the best of starts before finishing second last time out over the c&d, 1.3L behind the winner. He has his peak run here and could complete the trifecta.
Race 5
This looks a tricky race to kick off the Jackpot and some caution is suggested. SAYL showed good improvement to win his last start over the c&d by just under a length. He shifted about in the closing stages of the race and had to survive an objection before being declared the victor. He gets to jump from gate six and if keeping to a straight course today, he should be right up there when they hit the line. PROSPECTUS has shown steady improvement in his last two outings, finishing third last time out over this c&d. He battled all the way down to the wire that day and from a handy draw of gate two, he could be the biggest threat to the top pick. MOOD is a 6yr old mare taking on males, but she stayed on well when making solid improvement to win her last outing over a mile by nearly two lengths. SLOW HANDS is seldom far off the action and having pulled pole position, he should turn in another honest performance here.
Race 6
KING KLAUS has his hat-trick attempt here after winning his last outing over 1100M by 0.8L. He was involved in a struggle all the way down to the finishing post and then had to wait for the result to be confirmed after an objection was lodged against him. He starts from gate seven and may prove good enough to chalk up the trio of victories. MORT DOYLE also has his hat-trick outing after winning his latest start over five furlongs by a head. He hit the front early that day and kept on rolling to hold off the chasing pack. He has pole position and should keep the former honest. SOCIAL is an 8yr old mare taking on boys. She has consistent formlines to her name and finished fourth last time out over 1100M. She is a speedy sort who may prove difficult to chase down over the latter stages of the contest.
Race 7
FLATTER was caught out wide before ending up in fourth place last time out over six furlongs. The form of that race has been franked and with her having her peak run here, she could be the one to side with today. ZOOFARI had finished second in her two runs prior to her winning her maiden race last time out over five furlongs. She stayed on well that day to put 2.3L between herself and the balance of the field and although taking a step up in distance, she should be considered a big runner in this line-up. BEACHBREAK returns from a 20-week rest but has had the benefit of two barrier trials, winning the latest of these. She drops back to sprinting after two moderate efforts over more ground and did win over 1300M three runs back. She gets pole position and the services of ex-SA jockey Robbie Fradd so will get all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
Race 8
FLYING CRACKERJAK has ultra-consistent formlines to his credit having finished second in his last three runs, the latest over five furlongs when a neck behind the winner. He was returning from a 10-week absence that day and from gate seven, he could represent decent value here. MCCOVEY COVE has his first run since a lengthy 44-week break and has not had a barrier trial, so his fitness will have to be taken on trust, but he did win last time out over the c&d when returning from a 20-week rest and may well be able to repeat the feat here. He is lightly raced, having only had the two runs to date and despite having to negotiate a wide eleven draw, he could be up to the task on hand. DR WHY NOT on the other hand has pole position. He won his maiden race last time out over this c&d by just under a length. He takes on stronger today, but he should nevertheless be included in all bets.

Race 4
BADOOSH showed marked improvement to be a comfortable 4.3L victor of his last start over seven furlongs when going from jump to wire. He steps up in distance here and will have to deal with draw seven, but on that last effort, he should be right up there when they reach the line. EASY CAMPESE put an even greater 6.3L between himself and the opposition when winning his latest run over seven furlongs. He hit the front as they entered the straight that day and was never in danger of losing. From gate five, he looks to be the immediate danger to the top choice. KINGSHEIR has only had the two runs to date, but he won by two lengths when making his debut over 1300M and then followed that up with a third-place finish over seven furlongs, 3.6L behind the winner. He clearly has some ability and should be involved in the finish today.

Race 5
BIG PARADE returns from a 31-week rest, but he has won both of his barrier trials to prove his well-being. He has his first run for his new trainer and if fully settled into his new surroundings, he could prove to be difficult to topple today. He did win over this distance three runs back and from a handy draw of gate two, he is taken to be the best bet on today’s program. JUAN DIVA is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has cracked pole position. She showed big improvement when finishing sixth last time out over this trip. just 0.7L off the winner. She was returning from a 17-week rest that day and if she is able to reproduce that effort here, she could threaten the top pick. EXAGGERATE is seldom far off the action and ended up in second place last time out over this distance, only a half-length adrift of the victor. He was returning from a 26-week break, but if not in need of one more outing, he should be right up there in the mix.
Race 6
BUZZ is looking to complete his hat-trick after winning his last two outings over 1300M, the latest by some 2.8L. He finished strongly that day, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking. He jumps from gate three and seems to be the value in the contest. AORAKI has his first run after a lengthy 48-week break, but he has posted two fair barrier trials. He followed up his penultimate run victory over 1500M with a second-place finish over a mile, one length behind the winner before his rest. He has the widest draw of them all to negotiate, but he should be doing his best work late. SUAVE stayed on well when third in his latest outing over seven furlongs. He is drawn in gate ten, but has his peak run here and should make his presence felt in this line-up.
Race 7
An open looking F&M Handicap faces the starter here and some caution is suggested. ARCHANNA returns from a 14-week rest but did finish third in her barrier trial. She has only had the two runs to date but did win by nearly four lengths when making her debut over 1300M. She followed that up with a fourth-place finish over seven furlongs, just 0.7L off the victor next time out. She faces a wide ten draw, but should nevertheless still be respected. IN LIGHTEN ME won her penultimate start over 1100M and then finished eighth last time out over six furlongs. It must however be noted that she only got a clear run at the 300M mark that day and was then closing fast thereafter. With better luck in running today, she should be involved in the finish. EMPRESS BEA also won her penultimate start over six furlongs and then finished third over the same distance next time out. She was making good late progress that day and should not be treated lightly here. DUBAI STAR has her first run since a 23-week break but has recorded three encouraging barrier trials. She has pole position and did win her penultimate outing over 1100M by just over a length.

Race 4
STARTRADE made good late progress when winning his maiden race by one length last time out over 1100M. He has his peak run here after returning from a 20-week break and although taking on stronger today, he should be right up there in the mix, despite having a wideish draw nine to negotiate. SO SWAY has only had the two runs to date, but won over five furlongs on debut and then followed that up with a third-place finish over the same c&d. He clearly has some ability and from his handy two draw, plus having 3kgs removed from his back thanks to his claiming apprentice, he could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice. THE FINEST made solid improvement when fourth last time out over 1100M. He is drawn wide at gate eleven, but a repeat of that last effort should see him involved in the finish here.
Race 5
This looks to be an open affair and loading up in the Jackpot seems appropriate. The very tentative first choice goes to NIGHT VOYAGE who made marked improvement when staying on well to finish fifth in his last outing over the c&d. He is drawn well at gate five and will have 3kgs taken off his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice. MORE ACES was slightly disappointing last time out when unplaced over 1100M, six lengths behind the winner. He was immediately rested for 24 weeks and returns here after finishing second in his only barrier trial. He is drawn one outside the former and should be right up there when they hit the line. FLOWER OF SCOTLAND is a 7yr old mare taking on the boys. She followed up her penultimate run victory over six furlongs with a fourth-place finish over the same c&d, nearly three lengths off the winner next time out. She has the widest draw of them all, but on the plus side, she will have a 4kgs claiming apprentice in the irons. SHE’S VITAL is a 6yr old mare who finished sixth last time out over this c&d, 3.4L back from the victor. She did however win her penultimate start over the c&d and is not without some sort of chance in this line-up.
Race 6
OHBEEH is seldom far off the action and although sixth last time out over 1300M, he was just a length and a half behind the winner. He has gate five and will have a 3kgs claiming apprentice doing duty. SEA WAR stayed on over the closing stages of his latest outing over six furlongs before finishing sixth, just over three and a half lengths behind the winner. He has a kind three draw and should be right up there in the firing line. PHONEME also stayed on in the latter stages when finishing seventh in his latest outing over a mile. He should have no issues with the drop-down to seven furlongs and should be included in all bets.
Race 7
CHATTER SESSION won by 1.3L when stepping up to this c&d last time out, despite being friendless in the betting markets. She has a wide draw of 10 to overcome, but she may prove to be good enough to complete her double today and is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. SANS LE SOU won her last start over seven furlongs by nearly two lengths when returning from a 25-week break. She has a kinder seven draw and could threaten the top pick. ADVOCATOR had made steady improvement before winning her last outing over six furlongs by 0.8L. She jumps from a wideish nine draw, but on the plus side, she will have 3kgs removed from her back thanks to her claiming apprentice.
