Magic Tips Best Bets

Top Bet
Race 4: PRINCESS ROYAL(4)
Jockey: Anthony ANDREWS – Trainer: Glen KOTZEN

PRINCESS ROYAL isn’t the best-weighted runner in this allowance contest but the classy daughter of Captain Al has solid credentials and she could still take a power of beating. She cast a shoe but kept going well to beat a decent field in a Grade 2 contest over this c & d last time out. The Glen Kotzen inmate drops in class and she should take a power of beating.

Race 6: PRINCE OF WALES(3)
Jockey: Keagan DE MELO – Trainer: Justin SNAITH

PRINCE OF WALES was gelded shortly after his Met day effort and the son of Dynasty has plenty more improvement in him. He is a smart type who notched up two impressive wins in his first six starts and he wasn’t disgraced in a quality field in his recent start. The Justin Snaith charge races fresh so this seven furlongs won’t pose an issue and he should go very well from his handy draw.

Race 7: SAINT ROCH(1)
Jockey: MJ BYLEVELD – Trainer: Adam MARCUS

SAINT ROCH is coming to hand nicely and he was making eye-catching late headway to finish a good 4th over a mile in a competitive field, four weeks ago. The first three runners of that event earned in subsequent starts and this son of Ashaawes has finally managed a good draw. Furthermore, he should relish this extra furlong and could go close if suited by blinkers.

Race 8: SUGAR FROSTED(3)
Jockey: Donovan DILLON – Trainer: Joey RAMSDEN

SUGAR FROSTED is quickly making up for lost time and she displayed a swift turn of foot to easily land her first career victory over seven furlongs, recently. The well-related daughter of Silvano was entitled to tire in the closing stages as she only recently returned from a 41-week break. She will be cherry-ripe on her third run after the rest & could be much better than the handicapper’s assessment. The Joey Ramsden inmate is well drawn on her handicap debut and she must be respected.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 3: INDIGO STORM(3)
Jockey: Shadlee FORTUNE – Trainer: Vaughan MARSHALL

INDIGO STORM is improving all the time and she was only outrun late into 4th behind Pixelate over this c & d, three weeks ago. She finished just a neck in front of the lightly raced GOLDEN PASS and should continue to progress. The top selection will again benefit from a 2.5kgs apprentice allowance and she is favourably drawn.
