Kumaru Usman defeats Tyron Woodley in UFC 235

Kumaru Usman became the first African-born athlete to become a UFC champion after winning by unanimous decision against Tyron Woodley.

Usman was at 12/10 to win the bout, while Tyson Woodley was the favourite at 6/10. Woodley had previously defended his title four times, and the co-main event lit up the UFC 235 as expected.

Usman the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ won the fight by unanimous decision. 50-44, 50-44, and 50-45 on the judges’scorecards to remain unbeaten in the UFC.
