The Brisbane Broncos will be looking to bounce back from their heavy Round 3 defeat at the hands of Parramatta when they play host to a Sydney Roosters side that registered a solid win over the Rabbitohs last Friday.

Broncos
The Broncos are having a woeful start to the campaign and have only won one of the three fixtures they have played thus far with the aforementioned victory coming against the Rabbitohs back in Round 2. Their poor run of form sees them in ninth place – one place above their opponents for this weekend – heading into Round 4.

Roosters
The Roosters finally broke their duck for the season as they beat the Rabbitohs 28-12. This was their first win of the season and they had suffered narrow defeats to the Sea Eagles and Panthers prior to this.

Stats That Matter
Four of the last five games between the two sides have been one by whoever was hosting the clash, with the only away victory in this five-match running being the Broncos 8-22 victory back in 2018.

The Broncos took the spoils in the last game between the two sides running out 15-10 victors last year. The reverse tie was won by the Roosters 36-4.

These games tend to be on the high scoring side of things with three of the last five games seeing combined total points tallies in excess of 48 points.

Verdict: Broncos
With stats like the above staring me in the face I can’t help but back the home team win trend to continue.
