Round 4 of the 2020 NRL season promises to be an absolute cracker with some top-notch action on the cards.
While there are a number of blockbuster clashes to feast upon, the tastiest looking serving is the clash between the second-placed Canberra Raiders and the third-placed Brisbane Knights.
Penrith Panthers v New Zealand Warriors
Friday 5 June

We start things off with a ‘David versus Goliath’ clash that sees the New Zealand Warriors travel to Penrith to take on the Panthers.
The visitors enjoyed a fantastic time of it last weekend as they registered their first win of the campaign beating the Dragons 18-0. The Panthers were less fortunate last time out as they drew 14-14 with the Brisbane Knights at home. This was their third loss of the season.
Verdict: Warriors
I’m going to go for another speculator on the Warriors as it paid off nicely last week.
Melbourne Storm v South-Sydney Rabbitohs

Next up it’s the Storm taking on the Rabbitohs. The hosts currently reside in sixth place on the log having accrued two wins from the opening three rounds. Their only loss came at the hands of the Raiders last weekend who they went down to 6-22.
The Rabbitohs have an identical record to the hosts winning two and losing one. They also suffered their first defeat of the campaign last weekend going down 28-12 to the Roosters.
Verdict: Storm
I fancy the storm to bounce back at home.
Parramatta Eels v Manly Sea Eagles

Saturday’s penultimate game will see the Parramatta Eels take on the Manly Sea Eagles at the Bankwest Stadium.
Parramatta will come into this one in buoyant mood having restarted their campaign with a mammoth 6-34 away victory over the Brisbane Broncos. This was their third win of the campaign and has seen them move up to the top of the NRL ladder.
The Sea Eagles also enjoyed a productive Round 3 running up a huge 32-6 victory over the second-to-last placed Bulldogs.
Verdict: Parramatta
The Eels will be far too strong at home and I can see them taking this one by more than 16 points.
North Queensland Cowboys v Cronulla Sharks

Sunday’s action comes to a close with a game between the Queensland Cowboys and the Cronulla Sharks.
The visitors have got their season off to an appalling start losing their opening three games with their most recent loss being last week’s 16-28 defeat to the Wests Tigers.
The Cowboys have fared much better in the opening three rounds losing one while winning their other two games. They head into this one off the back of a resounding 36-0 victory over the last-placed Titans.
Verdict: Cowboys
I’m backing the Cowboys to claim another win here.
Canberra Raiders v Melbourne Knights

Sunday’s early game is the pick of the action with the Melbourne Knights travelling to Canberra to take on the Raiders.
The visitors currently sit in second spot on the log while the hosts are in third place, a point behind their rivals for this weekend.
Canberra have enjoyed a flawless start to the season winning all three of their fixtures which include last week’s 6-22 victory over the Storm. The only blemish to the Knights record came last weekend when they drew with the Panthers.
Verdict: Canberra
I’m on the hosts here although I do suspect it’ll be a very tight game.
Gold Coast Titans v Wests Tigers

The weekend action will come to a close with a game between the 7th placed Tigers and the last-placed Titans.
The hosts have endured a nightmare start to the season losing all three of their games. They head into this one off the back of yet another heavy defeat as they went down 36-6 to the Cowboys.
Conversely, the Wests Tigers enjoyed a good Round 3 as they claimed a slight upset beating The Cronulla Sharks 16-28.
Verdict: Tigers
I’m on the Tigers here. I expect them to be far too strong for the hapless Titans.
