Wolfsburg 2-0 Real Madrid > Real Madrid 3-0 Wolfsburg 
Real Madrid had a mountain to climb on home turf after losing the first leg of the 2016 UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash 2-0 to Wolfsburg but CR7 overturned the result with a scintillating hat-trick, sending Santiago Bernabeu to hysterics.

Los Blancos would go on to win the coveted trophy and he was pivotal in helping them retain it for the next two seasons.

Atletico Madrid 2-0 Juventus > Juventus 3-0 Atletico Madrid 
All eyes were on the Portuguese after Juventus lost 2-0 to the defensively resolute Atletico at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium. He somehow found a way to net three times in the second leg through two headers and a penalty much to everyone’s amazement.

Portugal won their first major trophy in 2016 and Cristiano Ronaldo was instrumental in helping his country achieve the feat. In the final group stage match of the tournament they needed a point against Hungary to go through to the round of 16 as on of the best third-placed teams.

The eventual champions went down three times and equalized three times in the game with Ronaldo founding the back of the net on twice.

Portugal were in danger of failing to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and Ronaldo netted a hat-trick in 15 minutes to give them a chance of fighting for progression in to the second round. They would go on to finish in second place behind Russia who earned automatic qualification.
Selecao would beat Sweden 4-2 on aggregate with their talisman scoring all their four goals across two legs.

Five goals against Granada in 2015
Ronaldo was three goal against his main rival for the top scorer’s award Lionel Messi and he scored five goals in a 9-1 victory over Granada to suddenly move two goals clear, making himself the favorite to win the individual accolade! He went on to win the 2014/15 Pichichi award after scoring a staggering 48 goals!
