This was an absolute cracker of a match which saw eight home runs! The Houston Astros and the Dodgers played to a high scoring 13-run spectacle at the Dodgers Stadium.

Coming into this match Clayton Kershaw absolutely destroyed the Astros in game one – with fastballs and curveballs that saw him claim 11 strikeouts. This time, the ace pitcher was rested and the Astros offence took full advantage.

Anton Bregman got things off in the top third inning, when he latched onto Rich Hill’s fastball, hitting into centre field allowing Josh Reddick to score.

The Dodgers responded when Joc Pederson hit a 119-metre solo home run to tie the game. Corey Seager extended the home side’s lead when he hit a two-run home run when he smashed Verlander’s fastball, Chris Taylor scored.

In the top eighth inning, the Astros went in and Carlos Correa caught Brandon Morrow’s cutter and singled to centre, allowing Bregman to score. The Astros tied up the game 3-3 when Marwin Gonzales struck a 121 metre home run off Kenley Jansen’s 151 km cutter.

The visitors took the lead when Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa doubled as they both homered in the 10th inning sending the Astros into a two-point lead.

The Dodgers rallied as Yasiel Puig homered and Logan Forsythe scored to tie the game again, five all. The atmosphere was electric as fans were treated to an exhilarating game of baseball.

The Astros had one more inning to hit and George Springer stepped up to the plate, slamming a 118 metre home run, Cameron Maybin scored to take the score to 7 – 5.

The home side had a final inning and Charlie Culberson homered to left centre – making it a one-point game. And then Puig stepped up, the Dodgers needed a clutch hitter but Puig was struck out by Chris Devenski’s changeup’s to hand the Houston Astros a vital win away from home!

Game 3 Odds: Houston Astros 15/20 vs LA Dodgers 1/1

Verdict: Houston Astros 15/20
The Houston Astros’ road to the World Series is one of incredible fighting spirit and big match temperament. Their rally to beat Dodgers at home was insane – matching them and dominating them with their hitting power. What they did to the Yankees was proof – when they beat them 4-3 after coming back from a 3-2 series deficit. This Houston outfit is fighting for their maiden Wolrd Series title and as the underdog, they want to win it more. If they manage to read Clayton Kershaw they could have a shot.
