Race 4

AMORETTI has his hat-trick run after winning his last start over this c&d by nearly a length and a half. He finished strongly that day and the form of the race has been franked. Ex-SA jockey Keegan Latham retains the ride which is encouraging and from gate six, he looks to be the one to side with. SPACE IS DEEP is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys and although being recorded as finishing eights in her last outing over seven furlongs, she was just over two lengths back from the victor. She steps up in distance, but did win over eleven furlongs three runs back, so this should not be an issue. She gets draw three and could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice. MUBARIZ is drawn one outside the top pick and showed good improvement last time out when stepping up to the mile, winning by two and a half lengths. He hit the front as they turned from home and then held off all challengers in the closing stages. He takes a further hike in trip, but on that last effort, this should not be an issue.

Race 5

PITCHFORK had consistent formlines to his name before being a bit disappointing last time out over a mile, finishing seventh, 6.4L adrift of the victor. It should however be noted that he jumped awkwardly and then overraced that day, so understandably had nothing to offer in the latter stages. He has subsequently had a barrier trial and from gate five, if he is able to reproduce his previous form, he should be right up there when they hit the line. COME ALONG is seldom far off the action and ended up in fourth spot last time out over 1500M, just over a length behind the winner. He has a handy draw three and will have 2kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice to aid his cause. JOLIETTE is a 4yr old filly taking on males. She came four wide into the home straight before finishing third in her latest outing over 1500M, two lengths back from the winner. She attracted plenty of betting support that day and although having to negotiate gate eight, she should give the boys a good run for their money.

Race 6

Today’s best bet, SUPER EFFORT has only had the five runs to date, winning one, finishing second on two occasions and third in another outing. He ended up in second place last time out over 1300M, one and a half lengths adrift of the victor. The colt has his peak run here and has cracked pole position. All in all, he could prove difficult to topple today. DANCE is drawn one outside the former and followed up his penultimate run victory over 1100M with a fourth place finish next time out over the same c&d. He battled all the way down to the wire that day and could prove to be the biggest threat to the top choice. FROZEN IN TIME is a 4yr old filly taking on boys and was closing in on the leaders before finishing third last time out over 1100M, just over two lengths back from the winner, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to her liking. Her draw four will cause her no harm.

Race 7

INVINCIBLE KISS is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys, but she had her consistency rewarded with an almost two length win last time out over five furlongs. She steps up slightly in trip, but from draw five, she can be expected to turn in another honest performance and is made the value bet on the program. PERIGORD had nothing go his way last time out when ending up in fourth place, just over a length behind the winner. He jumped awkwardly, was bumped at the 600M mark and then did not get the clearest of passages in the home straight. He is drawn one outside the top pick and with better luck in running today, be could trouble the former. MOSSMAN GORGE won his penultimate outing over five furlongs by some one and a half lengths and then followed that up with a sixth place finish next time out over the same c&d, three lengths back from the winner. He jumped awkwardly that day and then only seemed to really get into the race when the field entered the home straight. If getting away as he should today and from gate four, he should be included in all bets.
