The well-related gelding was impressive when winning his debut over six furlongs on this track during the winter. However, his next outing clearly emphasized his ability as the son of Lecture finished strongly to beat older rivals on his handicap debut under a big mass, six weeks ago. He is back against his own age group today and has plenty more to offer.
Race 4: CAPTAIN’S RESERVE(3)

CAPTAIN’S RESERVE has taken to the polytrack and finished close-up in his last three outings on this surface. There has been little to choose between him and COVARIANCE and the latter just got his measure when he found traffic problems in his penultimate start over this c & d. He followed up that performance with a cracking last run in stronger company and has strong claims of reversing the form.

Jockey: Cheyne G – Trainer: Greeff A C
ENKIDU was super-impressive when beating a subsequent winner and many form runners on his debut over this c & d recently, despite little going his way. The Greeff inmate is obviously above-average and that experience would have brought him on appreciably. He will be severely tested on his handicap debut against some quality sorts but could prove equal to the task. The well-related son of Judpot is certainly worth following.

Race 7: GOGETTHESHERIFF(1)
GOGETTHESHERIFF was withdrawn under controversial circumstances recently but has a big chance of making up for that mishap. The polytrack specialist has been brilliant in his local career and he is best in on official ratings today. The son of Go Deputy comes here in search of a hat-trick of wins and Danielson partnered him to victory in a feature in his penultimate start.

Race 6: SENSUOUS SALLY(6)
Jockey: Cheyne G – Trainer: Greeff A C
This is an ordinary low-key fillies and mares handicap and plenty of caution is advised. The Gift Of Gold formline over six furlongs on 07/09 could be worth following in terms of the final outcome and the Alan Greeff inmate SENSUOUS SALLY gets the narrow first verdict. The bay mare likes this surface and she ran on late to finish close-up in that sprint referred to above. Her pedigree suggests that she could enjoy the rise to the mile and the manner in which she finished last time was encouraging.
