KEARA showed very good improvement in her last start over this C&D. She reared at the start and was reported to have a mouth injury which makes the effort that much more encouraging. The daughter of Orpen looks to be a progressive type and if jumping on terms, she should go one better here.

AL QAASIM’S last two starts on this course have been good. He should have finished closer last time as he shifted away from the crop in the closing stages. He is likely to race up with the pace and Warren Kennedy may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

SAILING LIZARD is unbeaten from four starts in PE. Despite overracing last time, he drew off well for the victory. He is unbeaten from two starts over this C&D. The son of Sail From Seattle faces his toughest test to date, but is in a good space and should be up to the task at hand.

FALLING FOR YOU was an easy winner of his last start over this C&D. He has won twice, finished second twice and third three times from nine starts over this C&D. He meets a similar type of field today and may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
Race 2: ESCAPE TO VEGAS (5)
Jockey: Murray C – Trainer: McKenzie D
ESCAPE TO VEGAS has shown good signs of a form return in her last two starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. Her record over this distance is encouraging having won three times, finishing second three times and third three times from 14 starts. She is drawn well and if jumping on terms, can return to winning ways.
