Richard was full of confidence about Gold Standard’s chance. “He is much better now than his last run. He has been crying out for a run over this trip and he was slightly disappointing last time. I am expecting a really big run from him,” were Richard’s final words.

TRAINER Comments:
Glen Kotzen was his usual confident self when asked about Gold Standard. “His last run in the Queens Plate was not a true reflection of his ability as they went too slowly for him early on. He has the pedigree to get the trip and I believe his current price of 20/1 is a very good one. I think he will be a big runner at that price,” were Glen’s encouraging words.
