Race 2: SHE’S A DREAM(12)
Jockey: Keagan DE MELO – Trainer: Mark DIXON

SHE’S A DREAM was quietly fancied when she made eye-catching late progress on her decent debut behind a highly rated fellow newcomer over five furlongs on the grass two weeks ago. That effort would have brought the daughter of Kahal on appreciably and she should relish the extra furlong on her track debut.

Race 3: SUZI WOO(14)
Jockey: Stuart RANDOLPH – Trainer: Shane HUMBY

SUZI WOO
would have strengthened during her eight week absence and she should make natural progress after her high quality debut over five furlongs on the polytrack earlier this campaign. The daughter of Twice Over suffered a bump at the start that day and she understandably raced green but flew late for a close 3rd in a very competitive line-up. This extra furlong should suit her perfectly on her grass debut.

Race 7: CAT’S LEGACY(2)
Jockey: Dennis SCHWARZ- Trainer: Alyson WRIGHT
CAT’S LEGACY was ineffective over a mile at the highest level last time but had solid credentials, including a smart 3rd in a minor feature on this course prior to that. The above-average son of Gimme- the greenlight should have much more to offer this campaign and he has strong claims on his handicap debut against his own age group today. His conditioner has enhanced his chances by engaging a promising 2.5kgs claiming apprentice.

CAT’S LEGACY (2)
Race 9: SHIFTING GEARS(8)
Jockey: Gunter WROGEMANN- Trainer: Louis GOOSEN
SHIFTING GEARS was unfancied when she produced an eye-catching debut over seven furlongs on the grass at Scottsville three weeks ago. She had little go her way that day but the daughter of Traffic Guard still ran on well for 3rd behind a cleverly ridden sort. That formline has worked out well and the extra furlong should suit trainer Louis Goosen’s charge.

Race 8: NO WORRIES(1)
Jockey: Brandon LERENA- Trainer:  Mark DIXON
The in-form Mark Dixon yard has recently acquired some hard-knocking handicappers who should be heavily involved in the finish in this small field. The evergreen eight-year old NO WORRIES has his first start for the stable and the chestnut may well dictate terms to good effect here. He had an improved last performance on the polytrack but clearly prefers the grass and should be highly competitive in this company.
