He should strip fitter, shoulders a handy galloping weight and could be the one to open proceedings. BRILLIANT FORTUNE placed third last time when beaten by Gunnison and on form, should run into the money.
13.45 Race 2 Class 4 Handicap 1650m

NORDIC WARRIOR stayed on strongly last time under apprentice Chau when beaten just over a length at the wire. He looks nicely placed in this field and from his neat draw, should take a power of beating. OFF THE REEL was a narrow winner in Class 5 last time. He steps up in division, will have to overcome a wide draw and has potential to run into the money.
14.15 Race 3 Class 5 Handicap 1650m

WHO LOVES THE ACE was just pipped by Off The Reel last time and it will be interesting to see how the latter performs in Race 2. CENTENARY IBIS wasn’t far behind the top selection last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating the pair when they hit the line.
14.45 Race 4 Class 4 Handicap 1650m

CHARIZARD is yet to win on this course which is a slight concern but he brings decent form into this contest. He found one better last time, should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. LOYAL BABY has finished runner-up in his last two starts. He was beaten just under a length last time, Moreira retains the ride and the combination will be looking to make amends.
15.15 Race 5 Class 4 Handicap 1200m

FIRE BALL will benefit from a 3kgs claiming apprentice and on form is tough to oppose. He finished a nose behind subsequent winner Good Buddy last time and merits healthy respect. KA YING SPIRIT is still lightly raced and placed third in his penultimate run on this course. He still has plenty room for improvement and can find the winner’s enclosure.
15.45 Race 6 Class 4 Handicap 1200m

ROMANTIC WARRIOR is one of the better bets on the card. He was an impressive debut winner in this division and should come on nicely with that run under the belt. He shoulders top weight which will make his task tougher but can keep his unbeaten record intact. TURBO POWER should relish the step up in distance and is a leading contender. He finished close-up last time when beaten by Lightning Storm on this course. He should be at peak-fitness and has strong claims.
16.15 Race 7 Class 3 Handicap 1650m

EVERYONE’S DELIGHT was only beaten just under a length in his comeback run by Bear Again. He is a two-time winner on this course and if overcoming the wide draw, can get back to winning ways. CHEERFUL DAYS won his last start at this level and is in search of a hat-trick. He ran on from far back last time, races well from off the pace and should be doing his best work late.
16.50 Race 8 Class 2 Handicap 1200m

KEEP YOU WARM raced on the speed in his comeback run when a comfortable winner in Class 3. He steps up in class, shoulders a lightweight and it is encouraging that Teetan has kept faith in the ride. HARMONY FIRE is another sort that steps in class. He brings ultra-consistent form into the lucky last and should make his presence felt.
