Race 6: NIMITZ (6)
Race 7: CURVATION (1)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 4: WESTERN VISION (16)
Jockey: C Mabaya – Trainer: M de Kock

WESTERN VISION returns from an 11-week rest and has only had the one run. That was over this c&d also in a workriders race where she showed pace before lacking a finish. She was friendless in the betting market that day which seems to indicate that the connections did not believe that she was ready to win on debut. She would have learnt from the outing and should improve here. The competent Chamu Mabaya gets to ride.

TOP BET
Race 5: THE JOCELYN TREE (1)

Jockey: G Dadamasi – Trainer: C Erasmus

THE JOCELYN TREE is the only runner on the day from the Gary Alexander yard. She stayed on well in her last start over ten furlongs and should have no problem coping with the extra distance of today’s contest. With Joe Gwingwizha in the irons, she looks to be the one to be with here.

Race 6: NIMITZ (6)

Jockey: C Mabaya- Trainer: M de Kock

The powerful Mike de Kock yard looks to have a strong hand in this race and his runners could complete the trifecta here. NIMITZ has his peak run today. The gelding was running on well in his last outing over ten furlongs and on that effort, he should have no issue with going over the extra two furlongs of today’s race.

Race 7: CURVATION: (1)

Jockey: S Mosia – Trainer: W Marwing

CURVATION retains the services of the very capable Samuel Mosia who partnered the 4yr old filly in her last outing over seven furlongs. She finished a close-up second that day and will be hoping to go one better today.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:
Race 8: NEBRAAS (15)

Jockey: J Gwingwizha – Trainer: S Tarry

NEBRAAS made good late progress in his last start over seven furlongs and should appreciate the extra ground on offer here. That was only the colts second start and if he has improved since that outing, he is sure to give a good account of himself in this contest.
