Race 1
LA VINA is a filly taking on the boys. She produced a promising debut effort over the minimum trip on this course. She was given a 19-week break after that run, during which time she would have strengthened up. The manner in which she finished off her race on debut suggests that she will enjoy the extra furlong on offer. If fit and well, she looks to be the one they all have to beat. MIMS WIN has just been touched off in his last three starts. He has finished second twice and third once in six attempts over this distance. Jason Whiting knows the son of Planet Five well and should the top selection fluff her lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

Race 2
RED ARMY is slowly coming back to best form after being given a 47-week break. He should have finished closer in his last start as he found traffic problems at a crucial stage in the race. He runs well for today’s jockey William Pike with a record of two wins, a second and three third-place finishes from seven starts. On best form shown, he looks to be the one to side with here. SUPERIOR SMILE has finished in the placings in his last six starts. He has finished second in both his efforts over this distance. Jason Azzopardi knows the son of Patronize well and the pair merit obvious inclusion.

Race 3
LAST OF THE LINE is unbeaten in both his career efforts over seven furlongs on this course. He raced from a handy position last time, took the lead at the 150m mark and kept going well. He takes on a little further distance this afternoon which should be right up his alley and could take a power of beating in this field. KELVIN finished just under a length behind the top selection in his last start. He is better off at the weights with his conqueror thanks to his 3kg apprentice claim. However, the former is lightly raced and looks to have a lot more scope about him. The son of Heritage cannot be discounted in this field and should complete the exacta.

Race 4
DEW WEST was given a well-deserved 12-week break after her last start. She won her two previous outings, one of which was over this distance. Jockey William Pike is unbeaten aboard the daughter of Alfred Nobel and he will be looking to keep that record intact. WANKAN TANKA has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He has a fair record over this distance having finished second twice and third on three occasions from eleven outings. Jockey Steven Parnham knows him well and should the top selection fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

Race 5
MASSIMO has very good consistent formlines to his name. He won three races in a row before finishing second over seven furlongs on this course. He returns from a 19-week break this afternoon and shouldn’t have any issues with regards to fitness as he has produced two good barrier trials coming into this race. William Pike who has won three times and finished second on the son of Sessions in the past, keeps the ride and the pair should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure. UNI TIME won his last three starts and returns from a well-deserved 21-week break. He has a very good record on this course having won three times, finishing second twice and third once from as many outings. The son of Universal Ruler merits healthy respect.

Race 6
LORENTINIO got back to winning ways in his last start over seven furlongs on this course. He set the pace that day and held on where it matters most. He gets the services of a 3kg claiming apprentice today and if allowed to dictate once again, he may be hard to peg back in the closing stages. MR KUNAFA won his last two starts well. He has won once and finished second once in three attempts over this distance. Jockey Jason Whiting has been aboard the son of Blackfriars in all five of his career wins to date and the pair will be mowing down the top selection in the run down to the finishing post.

Race 7
LIPSTICK FLICKERS has good form to her name. She has won three times, finished second twice and placed third on three occasions in as many attempts over today’s distance. Shaun Mc Gruddy knows the daughter of Murtajill well and the pair should be hard to beat in this field. TRAKIATO produced some decent form before given a 32-week break. He has a good record over this distance having won four times, finishing second twice and third once from ten starts. He should have no issues with regards to fitness as he has produced a decent barrier trial coming into this race. Jarrad Noske knows him well and the pair merit obvious inclusion.

Race 8
SPIRITUAL WARRIOR has won his last two starts over eleven furlongs. He raced from a handy position last time and took over the lead at the 100m mark to notch up his eleventh career victory. The son of Blackfriars takes a step up to the 3200m this afternoon and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should be the one they all have to beat. HE’S A PARKER finished third behind the top selection in his last start. He was making steady progress at the finish that day. The manner in which he finished off his race last time suggests that he will enjoy the rise in distance. Chris Parnham knows him very well and the pair should be right there in the run down to the finish once again.

Race 9
WATCH ME DANCE is one of the better bets on today’s card. She ran a very good race in a Group 2 event over six furlongs in her last start. The manner in which she finished off the race that day suggests that she will enjoy the extra furlong on offer. She has got the best credentials in this race and will take a power of beating. AMERICAN CHOICE should have finished closer in her last start over six furlongs. She was held up for a run until the 200m mark and ran on strongly. William Pike has a 32%-win strike rate for this trainer and with a bit of luck in running, she should be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top choice.

Race 10
KIA ORA STAR produced some good form before given a 20-week break. He has a good record with today’s jockey having won once, finishing second twice and third twice from as many starts. He should have no issues with regards to fitness as he has had two decent barrier trials coming into this race. From his handy barrier position, he is likely to be the one they all have to beat. INDIAN CHANT is a winner of his last three starts. He won his only attempt over this course and distance last time. Jockey Mitchell Pateman has a very good record aboard the son of War Chant and the pair merit obvious inclusion.
