Race 1
FRIVOLOSOPHY is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has finished second in her last two starts over this trip and will be hoping to go one better today. Her handy draw is a plus. READY TO PARTY has his first start after a 22-week break during which time he was gelded. He put up a decent barrier trial to prove his well-being. ANOTHER OPTION returns from an even longer 88-week rest and has his first run for his new trainer. He finished second in his barrier trial and should be considered here. MANLY HANOVER is yet another who returns from a rest, this time for 21 weeks. He has put in two encouraging barrier trials and might be able to trouble the top three selections.

Race 2
Only seven of the contestants in this race have had runs, so a close eye should be paid to the betting market, to get some indication as to how the various stables feel about their chances of winning on debut. The ones that have been to the track before do however have solid form to their credit, and two fillies could fight out the finish of the contest. The slight preference goes to GIRLS KICK ON who got closer to the winner second time out over this distance and has shown a liking for soft going. She also gets a handy draw. OUTREACH BELLE is drawn one outside the former and won last time out over the distance. She looks the immediate danger to the top choice. BAY OF BENGAL only needs to repeat his penultimate effort over this trip to be a leading contender here. UNDENIABLE is another filly who showed marked improvement last time out over this trip and if she is able to confirm that effort, she could be involved in the finish.

Race 3
As with the previous race, the fillies should be able to dominate the finish here. OUR EPPY is a 4yr old filly who showed good improvement last time out when stepping up to seven furlongs. The increase in distance should suit her and she jumps from a handy draw. RAINY DAY is a 3yr old filly who just failed to win her last start over a mile. She should be doing her best work late. WALTON HALL is another who showed improvement when stepping up to seven furlongs and must be respected in this line-up. JUSTITIA is a 3yr old filly who finished close up when making her debut over seven furlongs. She did not quite go on with her effort last time out over a mile, so should enjoy the drop in trip. Her pole position will be an advantage.

Race 4
DAWN TOO GOOD is a speedy sort who was only beaten 0.8L last time out over 1100M in heavy going, when returning from a lengthy 50-week break. He now races in a lesser centre and should give a good account of himself here. WARRAH FLASH stayed on well in his last start over 1100M in soft going and seems likely to appreciate the step up in distance. MISTER RIPLEY has consistent formlines to his name and narrowly missed out on victory last time out over this distance – he should be right up there in the mix. POWER BELLS is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she showed the expected improvement second time out over this distance and if she has continued down that path, she should be a factor today.

Race 5
IN A STEP is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she was not too far back last time out over 1100M and drops back to five furlongs, over the same distance she won her penultimate start in heavy going. NICCONI LASS is a 4yr old filly who returns from a 16-week rest. Her last two efforts have been solid and she has done well in soft going in the past. CRACKNECK finished fourth in his latest outing over 1100M in the soft conditions and he should be respected here. KID GALAHAD finished strongly when a surprise winner of his last start over this distance. From gate two, he should be right up there in the dash down to the line.

Race 6
MONICA’S STAR is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys but her record of one win, two seconds and one third-place finish from four outings speaks for itself and she looks to be the one that they all have to beat here. She will also have 2kgs removed from her back courtesy of her claiming apprentice. BANDAHARA returns from a 20-week rest, but his latest barrier trial in soft going was encouraging. He finished second over seven furlongs in his last outing before the break and jumps from a handy draw. HAPPY FRANK has had two solid recent outings and did finish second over seven furlongs last time out. STRAWBERRY BEAR is drawn the widest of them all, but he did win his last outing over this distance and is one for the shortlist.

Race 7
GIRONDE missed out on completing his hat-trick last time out when stepping up to seven furlongs and drops back to six furlongs today. From his handy draw and with the services of a 1.5kg claiming apprentice on board, he could be the one to side with here. ALL ABOUT CHARLIE is a 6yr old mare taking on males, but she is seldom far off the winner. She is drawn wide, but she should use her early gate speed to move across without expending too much energy. OAKFIELD JET was a surprise winner of his latest outing over six furlongs and if able to back that effort up here, he should be respected. ZIOPTIMUS finished just 0.3L behind the winner last time out over seven furlongs and from his handy draw, he should be considered for all bets.

Race 8
READY TO HUMBLE won his maiden race last time out over this trip in soft gong. He takes on stronger here but from his good draw, he should be one of the leading contenders in this field. DREAMTIME MAGIC is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she has consistent formlines to her name and should put in another honest performance here. She jumps from pole position and should be doing her best work in the latter stages of the race. ULTIMATE POWER is drawn one outside the latter and was making good late progress in his last outing over this distance. He is one for the shortlist. IN YA SKYROCKET steps up in trip after finishing 1.4L behind the leader in his last start over five furlongs. His form over further is solid, so the extra ground he faces today, should not be an issue.
