Racing on Saturday in Singapore sees an 11 race programme carded for Kranji Racecourse. The best bet comes in the first with Miss Michelle for South African jockey JP van der Merwe.
The value bet on the card comes in the eight the eighth race for Australian jockey Daniel Moor on Spur Me On.
RACE 1 (07:15) CLASS 5 (1)

MISS MICHELLE comes into this race in exceptional form after winning two of her last four starts. JP van der Merwe who has won on her in those starts retains the ride today and she is the strong first selection. PRINCE PEGASUS won his maiden quite easily last time out over the mile, he drops back to the six furlongs today but he should be running on in the closing stages and fill the exacta position. The lower places should be filled by EASY SOUTH EAST who has good form over this trip and has top jock Vlad Duric up and GOLDEN THUNDER should round up the quartets.
RACE 2 (07:45) RESTRICTED MAIDEN (2 AND 3-YEAR-OLD) (WEIGHT FOR AGE)

BRUTUS was impressive on debut as he led for most of the race and managed to finish just under two lengths behind the eventual winner. Top Malaysian jockey Ronald Woodworth retains the ride today and should be able to break the horse’s maiden. It looks to be an open contest after that with the narrow second selection going to THEODORE who does have scope to improve from his debut run after finishing fifth. WINNING POWER is another with scope for improvement after his debut run, he finished half a length in front of the second selection that day and should finish close to him again today. FOUNTAIN OF FAME was impressive in his penultimate and a repeat of that run should see him in the money again today.
RACE 3 (08:15) CLASS 4 (1)

BARTIMAEUS is in a good run of form after winning and finishing third in his last two starts, if he brings that good run of form into this contest he should be very hard to beat with Marc Lerner aboard. BIG HEARTED has managed to win three out of his six starts to date and it would be no surprise if he wins again, he, however, has a wide draw and that might be his demise in this contest. SUN RECTITUDE has his first run out of the maidens today with JP van der Merwe aboard. He should be able to finish in the money. CHOCANTE ran on nicely to finish second last time out, Vlad Duric rides today and he should finish in the places.
RACE 4 (08:45) OPEN MAIDEN (WEIGHT FOR AGE)
Selections – 3-5-2-7-4
LIM’S MOMENT has been in good form and looks ready to break his maiden here. Championship leading jockey Vlad Duric rides and he should be able to get the better of this field today. QIJI FLYER looks capable of filling the exacta position. He steps down to the five furlongs and that should suit him as he seems to have faded when going over the six furlongs in the past. Daniel Moor retains and should go close. SACRED GIFT is an unraced Zoustar gelding and he doesn’t need to be a superstar to win in this open maiden. COLOUR STAR is the ride of top female jockey Alysha Collet and if he regains his best form, he can finish close up in the quartets here today.
RACE 5 (08:15) CLASS 5 (3)
Selections – 6-4-7-9-14
HOST THE NATION comes into the race with good form over the course and distance and if he manages to repeat his last few runs, he should be very hard to beat. It is another good ride for Ronald Woodworth and he should be able to go close. TUSCAN ARTIST drops in trip today and tries the poly again, however, if he is able to emulate his last two runs on the turf, he should go close. CLARTON STAR improved nicely over this course and distance last time and if repeating that run should feature in the mix again today. MONTOYA is another that comes with good form from longer distances but the drop in trip shouldn’t affect his place chances.
RACE 6 (08:45) NOVICE (SET WEIGHTS)

PALETAS is another good mount on the day for Vlad Duric. He won his maiden in good fashion. He tries the extra furlong today but with Duric retaining the ride it, he should have no issues winning again. MOONGATE STAR was impressive when winning his debut and it would be no surprise to see him go back to back today with JP van der Merwe aboard. BUURAQ comes into this race with good form with a win and a second-place finish in his last two runs. PRIME TIME has been consistent in all of his six runs to date and should be in the money again today.
RACE 7 (08:20) CLASS 5
Selections – 5-1-7-9-2
ELENA OF AVALOR was bumped and had to be shifted in the straight over a mile, but still managed to finish under a length at the finish. Barring any interference today she should be the one to side with. CODIGOS also finished second in her last start and a repeat of that run should see him in the money again today. SUMMER GLITTER is a consistent sort and has placed over this course and distance in his last start. He should be in the mix again today. HERO IN THE WIND has good form over this sort of trip and should feature in the money again today.
RACE 8 (08:50) CLASS 5 (2)
Selections – 8-3-4-11-1
SPUR ME ON is the value bet on the card, he drops down in trip this afternoon and that should suit him. He previously ran a close up second when last trying this trip and a repeat of that run will make him hard to beat. HELUSHKA won her maiden when last trying this course and distance and should be up there again this afternoon from a mid-field draw. WILD BEE improved nicely in his last start and if confirming that recent improvement, he should be in the money again today. CROWN DELIGHT is another improver in the field and should be able to place in the back end of quartets.
RACE 9 (08:20) CLASS 4

LEGEND ROCKS comes into this contest in top form. He finished fourth in his last start over this course and distance when drawn widest of all. He jumps from gate one today and should be the one they have to beat. MAJESTIC EMPRESS ran a good second when coming from far off to finish a short head second. A repeat of that run should see her get close to the top selection. ROBIN HOOD tries the mile for the first time today based on his runs over shorter distances this trip should suit him and he should finish in the money. TOUCH THE CLOUDS tries poly for the first time today and if taking to the surface he should be able to feature in the money.
RACE 10 (08:50) CLASS 4

MY HORSE is a hard-knocking sprinter who always has a chance. He drops back to the minimum trip today and he is the first selection in this open contest. BLACK QUAIL is a consistent sort and drops to the five furlongs today, with JP van der Merwe up he should be right there when they reach the wire. GOOD LUCK CHARM led from start to finish in his last start and will enjoy going over the same trip today, a repeat of that last run should see him in the places. IMPERIUM drops in trip today and should finish in the places.
RACE 11 (08:20) CLASS 4 (2)

SIAM ROYAL ORCHID was an impressive winner of his last start and a repeat of that run should see him in the winner’s enclosure again this afternoon. LIMITED EDITION is in good form and is ridden by Duric, he did race keenly in his latest run and if settling today, he must be in with a shout. ATLANTEAN is never far off them, finishing fourth in his last two runs, he should be in the mix again today. SUN MONARCH is unraced son Redoute’s Choice any betting support for him should be monitored.
