Race 1 – PRIX DES HORTENSIAS
The meeting kicks off with a Maiden Plate for the two-year-olds which only consists of unraced thoroughbreds. As is normally the case with these types of races, the betting market will be the best guide with regards to the chances of the runners. PRINCESSE DE SABA is a grey filly by Dariyan from the Andrea Marcialis stable with in-form Maxime Guyon in the saddle. If not too green this afternoon, she may be the one they all have to beat. MY CLASSY LASSY from the Andrew Hollinshead stable could be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top selection. She is a daughter of Buratino with Pierre-Charles Boudot aboard. KEY FREE is the only male in this field. He is a son of Kheleyf from the Marc Pimbonnet yard with Guillaume Mandel in the irons. If not in need of this outing, he should be right up there in the run down to the wire.

Race 2 – PRIX PIMPIM
This Class 2 Handicap is open and many horses have a decent chance of winning. The narrow first selection is SILVER SCHNOK from the Carlos Lerner stable. He was an impressive winner on debut over this distance and followed that up with a decent third-place finish over nine furlongs at Longchamp. He returns from a six-month break this afternoon, during which time he would have strengthened up. If not in need of the run, he may be the one they all have to get past. HONOR BERE has produced three decent efforts since shedding his maiden tag. The run that catches the eye is when getting beaten a short head over this distance in his penultimate start. It is encouraging that jockey Maxime Guyon does duty on his return and the pair merit healthy respect. FRENCH ASEEL caught the eye when winning his maiden over this course and distance last time. He does take on stronger opposition today, but he is lightly raced and looks progressive. He jumps from a mid-field barrier position today and with Aurelien Lemaitre retaining the ride, he should be right there in the fight out to the finishing post.

Race 3 – GRAND PRIX DE PARILLY
The value bet on today’s card is PAROUSIA from the Henri-Alan Pantall yard. She took on much stronger in her post maiden race when facing Listed company. She takes a big drop-in class today and returns to race over her favourite distance where she has won once, finished second and third once from five attempts. Jockey Vincent Cheminaud knows the daughter of Shamardal well and the pair could find themselves in the winner’s enclosure. PRESS OFFICER got back to winning ways over this course and distance in his last start. The son of Sageburg has won twice from four starts on this course and five of his eight victories have come over this distance. If confirming his recent return to form, he may be the one to pick up the pieces should the top selection fluff her lines. IL PITTORE is the stable companion of the second selection. His last two starts over ten furlongs have been fair. The son of Mr Greeley likes racing over this distance having won five times, finishing second once and third once from twenty attempts. He gets the services of a 1.5kg claiming apprentice today and can run into the money.

Race 4 – PRIX DE LACROIX-LAVAL
MAJOR BLUE’S last two starts over 1700m on this course have been good. His record in the last twelve months is decent having won once and finished second four times from seven outings. The son of Palace Episode does return from a seven-month break today and if not in need of the run, he should be the one they all have to beat. RAISE THE STAKES showed good signs of a form return in his last start when finishing third over this course and distance. He should come into this race as one of the fitter horses and with the 3kg claiming apprentice Aude Duport retaining the ride, he should be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top selection. SILVER POKER’S last two starts over this distance have been fair. He finished fourth behind Press Officer who takes his place in Race 3 today so it will be worth monitoring his progress in that contest. The son of Policy Maker gets the services of a 3kg claiming apprentice and must be included in all bets.

Race 5 – PRIX DES POULAINS ET POULICHES
LOOTAH is one of the better bets on today’s card. He won his maiden race in his penultimate start over 1900m and followed that up with another victory over ten furlongs on this course. He does try the extra furlong this afternoon, but the manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will enjoy the extra distance on offer. Pierre-Charles Boudot does duty once again and the son of Manduro has a good chance of notching up the hat-trick. STEP BY STEP followed up his maiden victory with a decent effort when finishing second over this course and distance. The lightly-raced son of Sidestep takes a slight rise in class this afternoon, but he looks to have ability and may be up to the task at hand. HELLINISTIQUE is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which he beat the second-placed finisher by five lengths. He does take a rise in class today and it must be noted that Pierre-Charles Boudot who won on him last time, has opted to ride the top selection instead. However, he looks to have potential and cannot be left out.

Race 6 – PRIX DESIR DE MAI
NIGHT AND DAY is the best bet on today’s programme. She produced a promising debut effort when finishing third over 2100m at Toulouse. She would have come on with the experience under her belt and with the natural improvement that is expected, she looks to be the one they all have to beat. The daughter of Sea The Moon does have a wide draw to contend with, but she gets the services of in-form Maxime Guyon and should take a power of beating. TIRTZA who is a daughter of Air Chief Marshall produced an eye-catching debut effort when finishing runner-up over nine furlongs. The manner in which she finished off the race that day suggests that she will enjoy the rise in distance this afternoon. Sylvain Ruis retains the ride and from position, the pair should be right there in the run down to the finishing post. SASSANDRA has produced three good runs to date, all of which were on this surface. The daughter of Lope De Vega is bred to enjoy this distance and if overcoming her wide barrier position, she should be involved in the fight out to the finish.

Race 7 – PRIX LOUIS SAULNIER
SALESMAN showed good improvement when finishing second over twelve furlongs at Compiegne. The son of Dubawi was returning from a three-month break that day. He should strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and with Maxime Guyon in the saddle once again, the pair should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure. LITIGATOR has produced three decent efforts thus far. The son of Elzaam is returning from an eight-month lay-off today, during which time he would have strengthened up. On breeding, he is looking for the extra distance on offer this afternoon. Tony Piccone takes the ride from pole position and the pair merit healthy respect. EPIC TALE produced a fair debut effort when finishing just under five lengths behind the winner over 1900m at Chantilly on the all-weather surface. The son of Doctor Dino would have come on from the run and with the natural improvement that is expected, he has a good chance of running into the money. Alex Badel retains the ride which is encouraging.

Race 8 – PRIX BEDEL (Listed)
The feature race on the day is the Listed Prix Bedel which is for older horses over twelve furlongs. SKYWARD who is a son of Camelot is unbeaten from three starts to date, the latest of which was a Listed event over this distance at Saint-Cloud. He has been off the track eight months since that outing, during which time he would have strengthened up. Stephane Pasquier retains the ride this afternoon and he has a good chance of keeping his unbeaten record intact. MONSIEUR CROCO was not disgraced when finishing fifth in a Group 2 race over eleven furlongs last time. It must be noted that he won his only outing on this course, three starts ago. He does take a drop-in class today and with Gregory Benoist keeping faith in the ride, he should be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top selection. LIBELLO is much better than his last start at Saint-Cloud suggests. He will enjoy the step up in distance this afternoon as he has won five times and finished second once from fourteen attempts. Regular pilot Alexis Pouchin does duty and the pair merit healthy respect.

Race 9 – PRIX D’ECULLY
DANDY PLACE is a winner of his last three starts under today’s 3kg claiming apprentice. The son of Dandy Man loves racing over this distance having won twice, finishing second once and third once from five attempts. He should come into this race as one of the fittest horses and should be the one they all have to beat. RESTLESS is a filly taking on the males. She showed good signs of returning to best form in her last start over this distance at Saint-Cloud. She has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this trip. She does make her course debut this afternoon and if suited to the track, she may be the one to pick up the pieces should the top selection fluff his lines. BLUE DIAMOND’S last two starts have been good. He has won four times, finished second three times and third once from twenty attempts over this distance. Alex Badel retains the ride from a handy barrier position today and the pair merit obvious inclusion.

Race 10 – PRIX DE TASSIN – LA DEMI LUNE
This is a weak Class 4 Handicap to end off today’s proceedings and caution is advised. The tentative first selection is OLD DANISH from the Richard Chotard stable. The son of Casamento has not finished too far off the winner in his last two starts under today’s 3kg claiming apprentice, Aude Duporte. He should come into this race fit and well and with a bit of luck in running from his wide barrier position, he may be the one to get past here. SAINT SACRE is a maiden taking on winners, but his last two starts have been good over this distance. He jumps from a good barrier draw today and with Maxime Guyon in the saddle, he must be included in all bets. KENOHOPE ran a good race when finishing third over ten furlongs at Fontainebleau last time. He has won once and finished second once from six attempts over this distance. Theo Bachelot steps back into the irons today and the pair can run into the money.
