Race 1
KYD ROCK’S last three starts after given a 24-week break have been very good. He loves racing on this track with a record of three wins, a second and three third-place finishes from nine outings. He is unbeaten from two starts over this course and distance. Terry Treichel knows the son of Ad Valorem well and the pair may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure. SIR GARFIELD is slowly returning to best form. He likes racing over this distance having won once and finished third twice from six attempts. Stan Tsaikos who finished third on him last time, retains the ride and the combination should be right there in the run down to the finishing post.

Race 2
CYCLONITE’S last three starts have been good. He finished runner-up in his last start over six furlongs when fighting hard all the way to the finishing post. He has won four times, finished second once and third four times from eleven outings on this course. Paul Denton steps back into the saddle this afternoon and the pair look to be the ones to side with here. SILVER MELODY got back to winning ways in her last start over the minimum trip on this course. That was her first effort on this track. The daughter of All Too Hard is having her peak run this afternoon and there should be more to come.

Race 3
SOLDIEROFTHEBRAVE has very good recent form to his credit. He has finished second twice and third once from as many outings on this course. It must be noted that the form of his last race has been franked. The drop in distance is no concern for the son of Sepoy and he should take a power of beating here. AROOGANT MISS was disappointing in her last start. She is much better than that effort as her record shows. She is unbeaten in two starts over this course and distance. 2kg claiming apprentice Dan Morgan has a very good record aboard her and the combination should be right there in the run down to the finishing post.

Race 4
THE TROOPER got back to winning ways in his first start after a 15-week break. He raced from a handy position that day before finishing best of all under a hands and heels ride. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has won twice and finished second twice in eight attempts over this distance. Lorelle Crow retains the ride and the pair can notch up a quick double. MANHATTAN SPIRIT produced a good comeback run over six furlongs on this course. Terry Treichel has a good 34%-win strike rate for this trainer. On best form shown, she may be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top choice.

Race 5
LOCK THE DOORS has returned to best form in his last two starts. He has a very good record over this course and distance having won four times, finishing second once and third on three occasions from twelve attempts. Paul Denton does duty aboard the son of Killy for the first time and the pair should be hard to beat. SO STOIC produced very good form before given a well-deserved 14-week break. He has won five times, finished second twice and third three times from eleven attempts over this distance. If fit and well, he should be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top selection in the run down to the finishing post.

Race 6
ZAP has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He has won twice, finished second once and third three times from ten outings on this course. He is suited to the step up to the mile and should be right there in the fight out to the finish. SKALDAK is much better than his last start over this distance suggests. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has a good record over this distance having won four times, finishing second twice and third on three occasions from fourteen efforts. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces.

Race 7
FINAL HEARING won a very good race in his first run after an 18-week lay-off. He raced from a handy position that day and gradually reeled in the leader before drawing off in the closing stages. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. Kim Gladwin retains the ride and the pair should notch up a quick double. JAVA’S last two starts have been very good, the latest over which was over this course and distance. He has won three times, finished second once and third twice from as many attempts over this distance. Jarrod Todd retains the ride and the combination command high respect in this field.
