Race 1
PEGGIE’S JOY is a four-year-old filly taking on the boys, but she only lost her last race over this c&d in the shadow of the post and looks to be the one to side with here. MY NAME’S STAR is a three-year-old filly who ran on well last time out over a mile when finishing third and will be doing her best work late. BILLY JACK has only had the two starts and he steps up in distance today. If taking to the extra, he should be involved in the finish. OXBRIDGE made a fair debut over 1100M. He would have learnt from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he should be considered in this line-up.

Race 2
The four-year-old fillies in this race could complete the trifecta here. DOLLY’S DREAM is a speedy sort who is sure to appreciate the drop in trip. The blinkers come off for the first time today and if this move has the desired effect, she should be right up there in the mix. CATIA is another who takes on shorter, but she too likes to race with the pace and should enjoy the five furlongs. FANGIO makes her debut after having eight barrier trials, the last of which she won. Any betting support for her should be respected. SO EDGY could be the first male home after making some improvement last time out over this trip. The blinkers are removed for today’s run.

Race 3
COLD AS COLD finished well last time out over six furlongs and will surely enjoy going over the slightly longer trip. His c&d form is solid. IT COMES NATURAL finished under two lengths behind the winner last time out over six furlongs and will be aided by 3kgs being removed from this allocated weight thanks to his claiming apprentice. ATHLONE CASTLE was slightly disappointing last time out over six furlongs, but he won his penultimate outing over the same trip and should be included in all bets. MAGIC OPUS is a six-year-old mare taking on males, but she is a speedy sort who enjoys the soft going. She should keep the boys honest.

Race 4
BELLE OF LIBERTY is a three-year-old filly taking on the boys and does return from a 30-week break. Her overall form is however solid and she has put in three encouraging barrier trials to prove her fitness. She should be too strong for this field. WHAT ABOUT MOSES is seldom too far off the action and looks the immediate danger to the former. He has a liking for this track. EVERASREADY had a fair last run over 1100M and is not without a chance in this field. UPTOWN FUNK is a seven-year-old mare who returns after 19-week rest. If not in need of the run, she should be considered here.

Race 5
DEEL RED won his last outing over this c&d and will be hoping to notch up a quick double today. He is suited to soft underfoot conditions. CLEO’S AFTERPARTY did win his penultimate start over the c&d and will get 3kgs taken off his back for the services of his claiming apprentice.  RECAPITULATE missed out on his hat-trick last time out over 1500M. He steps up in trip here and will be looking to bounce back to winning ways jumping from pole position. FORCE ELEMENT was not disgraced last time out over the c&d and should be a factor today.

Race 6
TRADE STORM has consistent formlines to his name. He has a wide draw to negotiate, but he finished with a wet sail to win his last start over a mile and on that the extra distance will be to his liking. The going was soft that day. MIDNIGHT BLACK was a tad disappointing last time out over ten furlongs, but did win his penultimate outing over the same trip and should be able to trouble the top choice. TRIGGERFISH steps up in trip, but he was only narrowly beaten last time out over 1500M after attracting plenty of betting support. TAKE ME HOME HONEY is a four-year-old filly taking on males, but she won her maiden race last time out over a mile here in soft going.

Race 7
DANEHILL STORM won a good race last time out over six furlongs in soft going. He is a speedy sort who may be able to skip clear of the field and hold off all challengers in the dash down to the line. UNIVERSAL APPEAL is a four-year-old mare taking on males. She has not been far off the action in recent outings and needs to be respected here. SEA WAR won over the c&d at the second time of asking and clearly has some ability. DEANGLES likes soft going and whilst he drops in distance here, he should be picking off the frontrunner is the closing stages.

Race 8
An open looking F&M Handicap faces punters here and some caution is suggested. THUNDER BOOM takes a sharp drop in distance after winning her last outing over ten furlongs, but her penultimate effort over 1500M would suggest that this may not be an issue. MYGIRLFRANKIE stayed on well over the c&d last time out in soft going and should give another good account of herself here. REGAL REBELLE steps back up in distance after showing up well last time out over six furlongs and should be involved in the finish today. KARIJINI AURORA has her hat-trick attempt here after winning her last two starts over seven furlongs. If equally at home over the mile, she should be right up there in the firing line.

Race 9
Trainer S J Wolfe appears to have a strong hand in this the closing event on today’s program and his runners may well fight out the finish here. SIR SNUGALOT was only just denied victory last time out over 1100M and is given the nod over his stable companion, jumping from his handy draw. In addition, he will get a 3kg reduction in his weights thanks to his claiming apprentice. His stablemate CAPTIVATED POINT will, however, make things difficult for him. His form over six furlongs is solid and he should have no issue taking on the slightly longer distance of today’s contest. POTENT SECRET was the narrowest of loser last time out over 1110M and should have no problem going the extra trip. His form in soft going is good. REALISE POTENTIAL drops back in distance after finishing second last time up over 1500M, but did win his penultimate outing over six furlongs and must be considered here.
