Race 1
MOLONGLE DRIFTER returns from a 19-week rest, but has finished in the top three placings in all three runs to date over this distance. He will be hoping to go one better today. NORTHERN GREAT has also not been out of the placings in all three of his starts and looks the immediate threat to the former. The other raced runners have poor form and the third and fourth positions could be filled by unraced runners. COURTING SARA is a filly taking on the boys but has had the benefit of one barrier trial. DERULO, on the other hand, has not had a barrier trial and has a wide draw to deal with. Any betting support for these two, or indeed, any of the other unraced entrants in the field should be respected.

Race 2
SO YOU DREAM fought on well to win his last outing over six furlongs in soft going and on that showing, he should enjoy the step-up in distance. POETIC ATTACKS is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she stayed on in the latter stages of her last start over six furlongs and she too should appreciate the extra ground. Her 1.5kg claiming apprentice will help her cause. VIA BALCIANO steps up to seven furlongs after his last outing over six furlongs, but this should not be an issue as he won over a mile three runs back. LORD ARCHER was making late progress last time out when second on a soft track over six furlongs. He should be respected here.

Race 3
LOVE IS BLIND completed his hat-trick last time out over six furlongs. He takes a slight step up in trip here, but he loves this racecourse and should give another honest performance today. WINDMILL LANE has his hat-trick attempt after winning his last outing over six furlongs and looks to be the biggest danger to the former. CRIMSON HALO finished strongly when close up last time out over six furlongs in soft underfoot conditions and should have no issues with the extra distance. THE HARROVIAN returns from a 30 week rest and has won four in a row. He takes a significant drop in distance and has not had the benefit of a trial, but it would however be unwise to disregard his chances here.

Race 4
This looks a wide-open affair and some caution is advised. The tentative first choice goes to SAPPHIRE WINGS who’s last two efforts over this distance have been encouraging. He has performed well in soft going before which is a plus. LA SHAFT is a 7yr old mare who showed marked improvement last time out when third over 1100m when returning from a lengthy 41-week break. She takes on the boys, but if she can confirm that effort here, she should be involved in the finish. MURTALLICA is a 4yr old filly who was making late headway in her comeback outing after an even longer 66-week break last time out. She has a wide draw to overcome, but she should be doing her best work late. JABAL TARIQ has had two barrier trials, the first of which was in soft going where he put in a solid effort. He makes his debut here and any betting support for him should be respected.

Race 5
Two mares may well contest the finish of what looks like another wide-open contest and READY FOR LOVE is chosen to lead the pair home. She is a 5yr mare who did not quite go on with her effort last time out over six furlongs and looks sure to appreciate the drop back in distance. LITTLE STRYKER is a 6yr old mare who goes for her trio of wins today after winning her last two over this c&d, the latest of which was in soft going. She will also get 1.5kgs removed from her back courtesy of her claiming apprentice.  AIRACOBRA returns from a 10-week rest and is seldom far off the action. If not in too much need of a run, he should be considered for all bets. MAGIC DESERT MOON is a 3yr old filly who followed up her win over this trip with a solid next effort and should be considered today.

Race 6
SOLUMINATE has consistent formlines to his name and was only just touched off last time out over seven furlongs in soft going. From his handy draw, he should be right up there in the firing line. EMSHALKY is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she will be looking to follow up on her last victory over seven furlongs. AKILEOS jumps from pole position and was only just beaten on the line last time out over seven furlongs in soft going. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and will be hoping to make amends here. FOX STREET finished right up there with the leaders in his last outing over seven furlongs in soft conditions and put in a solid effort in his penultimate start over a mile and should be respected in this line-up.

Race 7
BET ON LOVE is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she led from gun to wire when winning her maiden race over six furlongs in soft going last time out. She takes on stronger here, but she is likely to attempt similar tactics today and may prove up to the task on hand. RIO also won his maiden race last time out over six furlongs and will get 4kgs removed from his allocated weight thanks to his claiming apprentice. He could follow up here. NOBODY BETTER is a 3yr old filly who disappointed last time out over six furlongs when attempting to complete her hat-trick. She drops back to five furlongs here and although she has a wide draw to negotiate, she should be respected. BETTAHONEY is also a 3yr old filly, but she has a far better draw compared to the former. She did not have the best of luck in running last time out and should be given another chance today.

Race 8
PURPLE GREY is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she finished strongly before only just failing to win her last start over five furlongs in the soft, suggesting that the step up to 1250M will be well within her grasp. TAWHIRI made late progress in his last outing over five furlongs and he too should appreciate the extra ground on offer here. ROTH’N’BEL was not too far back in his last start over five furlongs and finished just a length behind the winner in his penultimate outing over seven furlongs. This distance should be right up his street. SHE’S NIC’N OFF is a 6yr old mare who drops back in trip after finishing a half-length second over seven furlongs last time out. She should be a factor here.
