Race 1
With the scratching of one of only two runners in this race that have
made their debut and the remainder having shown no improvement in her second
start over six furlongs, the top four places are likely to be filled by unraced
entrants. As is always the case in races like this, the betting may be the best
guide in determining the outcome of the contest. Unfortunately, to complicate
the issue further, none of the runner have had a barrier trial to assist in
arriving at a winner. Trainer Robbie Griffith has three runners,
AMY’S PRIDE, NIGHT
OF DELIGHT
 and YOSEMITE.
The latter two have wide draws to overcome and the first-mentioned has not
done much better, starting from gate seven. SEATTLE
DANCER
has cracked pole position
and may be able to put that to good use.

Race 2
Whilst there is only one unraced entrant in this race, the majority of
the runners have only had the one run and how much they have improved since may be difficult to gauge.
MZURI STAR is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys and
returns from a 17-week break, but she finished close up on debut over five
furlongs and should enjoy going over this trip. BELLOWS has had three runs to date but has his first outing
after a 1
0 weeks rest. He drops to a lesser centre and may do
better here.
TYCOON THUNDER is
another who returns from a break, this time for 17 weeks. He had a fair debut
over five furlongs and should have made improvement during his rest. SESSIONS
ROAD
returns from a 20-week absence and has pulled pole position. He should
be considered today.

Race 3
Three scratchings have thrown the race wide open and finding the winner
is no easy task.
SLY SLOTH was making late
progress in his last outing over 1100M, suggesting that the extra ground on
offer here will be to his liking. He has a wide draw to overcome, but he is
likely to be doing his best work late.
DIABOLICAL is a 4yr old filly
taking on males, but she showed good improvement in her last two starts over
this trip and should be involved in the finish here.
ALMIRA GULCH is also a 4yr old filly. She finished
strongly in her most recent outing and should be right up there in the dash
down to the line. WILD VITALITY put in a solid comeback effort after a 22-week rest
and if not in need of one more outing, he should be considered today.

Race 4
LADY CELLARBRATION showed
big improvement last time out over this c&d and if she is able to confirm
that effort, she may be able to find her way into the winner’s box, starting
from her handy draw. BILLIE DE LUNE has only had the two runs to date,
but she was making good late progress last time out over six furlongs and
should enjoy the extra journey today.
BRICABRAC JULIE showed some
improvement in her latest start over six furlongs and may well be looking for
this greater test of stamina. OUR GUARDIAN
ANGEL’S
first try at seven furlongs was hardly inspiring, but she would no
doubt have learnt from the experience and could improve enough to bother the
top three selections.

Race 5
OCEAN ESSENCE returns from a 20-week break. He followed
up his win over a mile three runs back with two close up finishes over the same
distance before his rest and his solid barrier trial was encouraging. From his
handy draw, he’s a big runner here. MAXIMAC is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she was only
beaten a head over this distance three runs back and gets blinkers fitted for
the first time. She should be taken seriously.
IGNITING is seldom far off the
action and steps up in trip today, but she drops to a lesser centre and should
be involved in the finish here.
BRITISH ISLE appeared to
find the mile just too far for him last time out, but posted a solid effort in
his latest outing over 1300M.

Race 6
DOROZA goes for this trio of wins here after
recording two comfortable wins, one over ten furlongs and his latest victory came
over 2100M. He starts from a wide draw, but this may not stop him from completing
the hat-trick.
SAILORS FALLS won his
last start over ten furlongs and is taken to chase the top choice home. BLACK
BEAU TIE
was a little disappointing last time out over 2100M, but is
certain to appreciate the drop back in trip. SUPER GIRL is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but
she was just behind the winner in her last start over seven furlongs and
appears to be far more at home over this sort of distance as illustrated by her
penultimate victory over twelve furlongs.

Race 7
LIBRATE is a 3yr old filly
taking on males, but she has consistent formlines to her name and did finish
just 1.6L behind the winner last time out over the mile. From her mid-field
draw, she looks to be the one that they all have to beat here.
OKOTOKS showed good improvement when just failing
to hold off three challengers last time out over this trip. She gets the
services of a 2kg claiming apprentice today.
HORSE FOR
HIGHER
is a 4yr old filly who likes to set the pace
in her races. She is seldom too far off the action and should be considered
today. THE REGIMENT would need to repeat his
penultimate effort over a mile if he wants to challenge the top three
selections.
Race 8
With six
scratchings in this race, just eight runners will face the starter, but this
does not make finding the winner any easier. MEMPHIS ROCK showed plenty of toe before holding off all
challengers to win his last start over

this c&d and will have 1.5kgs taken off his back
thanks to his claiming apprentice.
FERUS missed out on his hat-trick when somewhat disappointing last
time out when 3.9L behind the winner over six furlongs and will be hoping to
bounce back to winning ways today.
RUSHIN’ RHONDA is
a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she followed up her victory over 1100M
three runs back with two encouraging efforts over sprint distances and is not
without hope today. GO HARVIES is a 3yr old filly who was just behind
the winner last time out over six furlongs. She has a wide draw to negotiate,
but she likes to race up with the pace in her races so this may not be a big
issue.
