Race 1
RAISON D’ETRE was slow into stride when making her debut over this distance, but was finishing off her race well. She was supported in the betting markets that day and with the natural improvement that can be expected, she looks to be the one to side with here. SELBUROSE is having her second run after making a fair debut when staying on over six furlongs in heavy going. The drop in trip should be to her liking. XYLAROO has had two solid efforts to date and gets the blinkers fitted for the first time. If these have the desired effect, she should be involved in the finish. PANNA COTTA showed the expected improvement second time out over this trip and if she has continued down that same path she should be respected here.

Race 2
Eleven of the eighteen runners in this race are having their first start and the betting may be the best guide as to their chances. Of the raced runners, PYRMONT may prove to be the best. He was not too far back on debut over this distance and would surely have come on with that run. EL BUENA had his first outing over six furlongs in heavy going. He too would have learnt from the experience and should have more to offer. OVERLORD makes his debut after two encouraging barrier trials. OCEAN EMPEROR is another who steps out for the first time after good barrier trials and jumps from pole position.

Race 3
COSTELLO has consistent form to his credit and gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time today. If these get him to concentrate all the way down to the line, he would be the one to side with here. NIGHT WITCHES is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she won her last start over this distance and has a handy draw. She should keep the former honest. NEW ARRANGEMENT steps up in distance, but down in class. From his handy draw, he should be included in all bets. WELSH LEGEND is a 4yr old filly and is the stable companion to the latter. She ran on well last time out over 1900M, but should have no issues with the drop in trip having finished second in her penultimate outing over the distance.

Race 4
GOT YOUR SIX’S last two efforts over seven furlongs have been solid, winning his latest by nearly three lengths. She is drawn the widest, but that might not stop her notching up a double today. MY DEMETRA, on the other hand, has a handy draw. She has her peak run here and steps up in distance, but she is sure to be right up there in the dash down to the wire. BUBBLES BALL is seldom too far off the action and should have finished closer last time out. SELES is consistent and should put in another honest performance today.

Race 5
Two fillies may be able to complete the exacta here. FOXBOROUGH is a 3yr old filly who fought all the way down to the wire in her last start over a mile. If showing the same amount of determination here, she should be difficult to topple over the slightly shorter distance. ANGEL OF HEAVEN is a 4yr old filly who is seldom too far off the winner. She returns from a five-month break and drops heavily in distance, but she improved in her latest barrier trial to prove her well-being. DIO D’ORO finished strongly last time out over a mile when narrowly defeated, but he is well drawn and should be doing his best work late. AGASSI showed some improvement in his last two runs and if confirming those efforts, he should be considered today.

Race 6
SUPER EX has his peak run here and was only collared in the shadow of the post last time out over 1100M. He has cracked pole position and could be the one that they all have to beat here. ISORICH has his second run after a 6-week rest and will almost certainly appreciate the extra ground that is available here. MOSSMAN GORGE was staying on nicely in his last start suggesting that he too should enjoying going over the extra trip. KOSCIUSKO returns from a 15-week rest and has a wide draw to contend with, but he won his barrier trial and should give a good account of himself here.

Race 7
JETSKI has ultra-consistent formlines to his name and won his last start over six furlongs. The step-up in trip is of no concern and he will be looking to turn in another honest performance here. REFORMIST has run in better company in the past and gets blinkers fitted for the first time today. If these have the desired effect, he should be involved in the finish. REGAL STAGE won well last time out over 1100M, but also has solid form over seven furlongs, winning three runs back over the trip. ABSOLUTE TRUST’S last effort over the distance was encouraging and he should be right up there in the firing line.

Race 8
CARDIFF was a tad disappointing last time out over six furlongs and was immediately put away for five months. His form prior to that was solid and he has won his last two barrier trials to signal his fitness. BALLISTICA is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she jumps from a handy draw and will be doing her best work in the latter stages of this contest. SATIN SOCKS is a 3yr old filly who raced in a feature race last time out over six furlongs. She did win her penultimate outing over the same distance and should not be lightly dismissed here. DIRTY WORK drops back in distance and if repeating his penultimate effort over this distance, he should be considered for all bets.
