LEICESTER

Race 3 No4 JET PLANE
Trainer: Dan Skelton – Jockey: Harry Skelton

JET PLANE was in the process of running a huge race when falling at the final Warwick hurdle two weeks ago. He is none the worse for the spill, and strongly fancied to take advantage of this drop in grade.

Race 4 No2 BARNAVIDDAUN
Trainer: David Bridgwater – Jockey: Brendan Powell

Irish import BARNAVIDDAUN was bang in contention when departing two out on chase debut at Newbury. If wiser for that tumble he can get the better of Call Me Lord, a former classy operator over hurdles who didn’t look a natural for fences on his chase debut at Uttoxeter.

Race 5 No2 NURSE SUSAN (Nap)
Trainer: Dan Skelton – Jockey: Harry Skelton
NURSE SUSAN has impressed on both starts under Rules, especially when landing some good bets to beat Zabeel Champion at this course last time. The Doctor Dino filly can complete a hat-trick on the way to better things.

CATTERICK BRIDGE

Race 2 No9 MIDNIGHT CENTURIAN
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

MIDNIGHT CENTURIAN failed to justify heavy support when only fourth to Lydford at Southwell, weakening tamely at the business end. That was a shadow of the horse that ran multiple scorer Geromino to a neck on debut over jumps at Uttoxeter. It’s probably wise to put a line through the selection’s latest effort, as he came back with a valid excuse, while the form was boosted by the winner on Boxing Day.

Race 4 No5 FINDTHETIME
Trainer: Nicky Richards – Jockey: Brian Hughes

A step up the distance ladder should play to the strengths of FINDTHETIME, who dug deep to get off the mark at Sedgefield last time. He moves into handicap company as the least exposed runner in the field, and can keep up the good work.

Race 6 No4 RAMBLE WEST (Nap)
Trainer: Donald McCain Jnr – Jockey: Brian Hughes

Leading Light mare RAMBLE WEST posted a most encouraging first effort over hurdles to chase home Cancan at Ayr, form which was given a notable boost by her conqueror last week. The former Irish pointer has a great chance to open her account for top connections.

NEWCASTLE

Race 7 No3 BLUE FLAME (Nap)
Trainer: Ed Dunlop – Jockey: Marco Ghiani

Dark Angel gelding BLUE FLAME should have more to offer on only his second handicap run. He posted a career-best at Chelmsford last time when second in a Class 5, and looks a danger to all competing at the same level but wiser for the experience.

Race 8 No3 SOMEWHERE SECRET
Trainer: Rebecca Menzies – Jockey: Laura Coughlan

If SOMEWHERE SECRET can break his habit of rarely running two races alike he can take out the nightcap. He delivered by a wide margin over course and distance earlier in the month and would be hard to keep out of the argument if turning up at the same form level.
