BATH

Race 2 No9 SYMPHONY PERFECT
Trainer: Richard Hannon – Jockey: Hayley Turner

SYMPHONY PERFECT ran into one when beaten into second here earlier in the month, and now has a great chance to avenge that defeat by Delmona. The Fast Company filly can make full use of her experience edge over the penalised Vaunted.

Race 6 No6 SUMMER’S KNIGHT (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

The only three-year-old in the field SUMMER’S KNIGHT has the look of a Sir Mark Prescott special, having taken apart older rivals even opening his account at Doncaster. He was heavily backed, and will again go off at prohibitive odds.

CARLISLE

Race 2 No7 MADAME BONBON ( Nap)
Trainer: Mark Johnston – Jockey: Ben Curtis

In a race numerically dominated by colts, MADAME BONBON can put one on the board for the fairer sex. The beautifully-bred filly, by Iffraaj out of a Galileo mare, raised her game on second start to make a race of it with Sadmah at Haydock. Her conqueror is very highly regarded, and this looks an altogether more straight assignment for the Nap.

Race 3 No6 GIVE IT SOME TEDDY ( Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Duran Fentiman

GIVE IT SOME TEDDY is a speculative choice to raise his game and could prove a value option to some of the more obvious candidates. He usually comes to hand at this time of year and is fairly treated if staging a revival, which he certainly needs to after several disappointing efforts.

Race 4 No11 BILLHILLY
Trainer: Charlie Fellowes – Jockey: Richard Kingscote

The historic Carlisle Bell can go to BILLHILLY, who has proved an upwardly mobile performer in his three outings for his new handler this season. The Sea The Stars gelding has a good draw and can be forgiven a defeat at Yarmouth when running into a well-handicapped foe that was unlucky not to go close at Royal Ascot last week. In a wickedly competitive heat, he can get the better of Chichester and Garden Oasis.

Race 6 No1 ILLYKATO
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Edward Greatrex

Another to have bypassed Royal Ascot because of unsuitable ground, ILLYKATO can cope with a step down the distance ladder in this Listed contest. The daughter of Toronado landed a similar contest over a mile at Goodwood by outstaying Agincourt and should find the stiff uphill finish here to her liking.

SALISBURY

Race 4 No6 MILLTOWN STAR (Each Way)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: George Bass

MILLTOWN STAR skipped a race at Royal Ascot but should encounter sufficiently easy conditions to put in a big earning run in this competitive handicap. With few miles on the clock over the past year and a half he has scope for progression and has worked well to suggest he can take home a major cheque.

Race 6 No1 LORD PROTECTOR (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Hector Crouch

The impressive LORD PROTECTOR can stretch his unbeaten record to four in the featured Bibury Cup. He’s not been winning by wide margins and has the knack of finding extra when challenged, as was the case when he held Wahraan over course and distance last month. That asset can assist in his mission to concede weight all round.

WORCESTER

Race 1 No2 ADJALI (Nap)
Trainer: Nicky Henderson – Jockey: Daryl Jacob

A horse that has not realised his early potential, ADJALI opened his chasing account in stylish fashion at Kempton last month. With the benefit of that confidence-boosting win he can surprise hat-trick seeker, Captain Tom Cat, on the way to better things.

Race 3 No4 NEVILLE’S CROSS
Trainer: Tom Lacey – Jockey: Jonathan Burke

Jumping issues have dogged NEVILLE’S CROSS since his switch to fences, but the Stowaway gelding remains a good prospect and can sharpen up his act with the benefit of some extensive schooling since the second of two falls at this course last month. He can prove a thorn in the side of hat-trick seeker Montanna.

Race 7 No3 FORTHEGREATERGOOD
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien – Jockey: Paddy Brennan

Former Irish pointer FORTHEGREATERGOOD has sharpened up her act since getting cheek pieces, finishing third at Fontwell and second at this course. The Yeats mare appears to hold all the cards in what looks a weakly-contested maiden hurdle and can prevail.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 5 No2 BONNEVAL ( Nap)
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

Everything looks right for BONNEVAL, who has a much better drawn than when pipped over course and distance last month. The Siyouni gelding has few miles on the clock, clearly likes this track and should prove hard to beat with Royal Ascot’s top rider in the irons.

Race 6 No3 VIOLA
Trainer: James Fanshawe- Jockey: Setefano Cherchi

VIOLA showed she had gone forward when edging home at Lingfield and can build on that first offering of 2021. She should be forgiven a poor run here last November and can help make it a good night for the Fanshawe stable by ending the winning sequence of Beauty Stone.
