Newmarket Best Bets

Race 4: No4 – LILY LIKE
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: David Probert

LILY LIKE raised her game to chase home Stormy Mountain on her latest start at Chelmsford before the lockdown. All three of her races have been on the all-weather and improvement beckons on a first outing on turf and now tackling a handicap.

Race 5: No4 – NEHALL
Trainer: Roger Varian – Jockey: Jack Mitchell

With rain about the one to be on is NEHALL, a daughter of Pivotal on first start in a handicap. She showed a willing attitude to score in a photo on first outing of 2019 at Wolverhampton in January and looks to have scope for progression in this new sphere.

Race 6: No3 – SPECTRUM OF LIGHT (Nap)
Trainer: Charlie Appleby – Jockey: Brett Doyle

SPECTRUM OF LIGHT faced better opposition than this when third to Sunray Major on the Rowley course and will be better for the run. His veteran jockey is part of the Godolphin set up and has ridden the gelding in preparatory work.

Lingfield Park Best Bets

Race 4: No7 – ROMMEL (Nap)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Charles Bishop

ROMMEL was all the rage on his debut at Kempton where failure to break on terms cost the son of Helmet. However, he’s made great strides in the past week and should make no mistake in the colours of his trainer.
