NOTTINGHAM

Race 3 No4 HIROMICHI
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa

HIROMICHI handled heavy ground to make the frame on debut at Newbury last autumn and again finished fourth, this time to the well regarded Snow Lantern, on his seasonal reappearance at the same track. The grey needs respecting in this class drop, and can open his account before going handicapping.

Race 5 No4 TRAIS FLUORS (Each Way)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Silvestre De Sousa

Former French-based TRAIS FLUORS was running Group races there three years ago, but failed to cut much ice when moved to Ireland. He’s been beaten a long way in all three outings for his current handler but handles the soft, and could be the only one in the field open to progression if rediscovering his old form.

Race 8 No7 SULOCHANA (Nap)
Trainer: Hughie Morrison – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

SULOCHANA took a 6lb hike for her resounding Salisbury success but could well shrug aside that penalty given how much she appears to have improved through the winter. There are a couple of in-form rivals that spell danger, but she holds the best all round claims.

FAKENHAM

Race 5 No6 DILIGENT (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Hawke – Jockey: David Noonan

After showing how much he likes tight tracks and posting two wins at Plumpton and one at Fontwell in a four-race winning sequence, DILIGENT Is very hard to get away from. The hooded selection faces stronger opposition, but with his confidence sky high can make it a nap hand of triumphs.

Race 6 No6 CASTEL GANDOLFO
Trainer: Fergal O’Brien – Jockey: Paddy Brennan

This combo have done well with their novice and maiden hurdlers through the spring. CASTEL GANDOLFO is taking longer to hit the target but after a few near-misses can finally hit the target. His trainer adds a pair of cheek pieces to sharpen his concentration.
