DONCASTER

Race 2 No6 WILTSHIRE LAD
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Saffie Osborne

WILTSHIRE LAD has put in some promising work on grass in Newmarket and the Wootton Bassett colt could prove the answer to what looks a strongly contested novice, providing he doesn’t run green.

Race 6 No6 MISS GITANA (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Daniel Muscutt

MISS GITANA has fluffed a couple of decent chances but remains of strong interest to open her account as she will appreciate the extra yardage of this extended mile and threequarters on a track that will put the emphasis firmly on stamina.

YARMOUTH

Race 1 No3 ANIF (Nap)
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: Sam Fielden

It’s hard to look past ANIF who can convert a fine hat trick on drying ground that plays to his strengths. The veteran is performing as well as at any time of his career, and he can defy a 6lb rise in the weights for his latest win.

Race 2 No13 NAINA
Trainer: John Ryan – Jockey: Laura Pearson

NAINA went down by half a length when third in a blanket finish on her second start at Brighton, and is going to be more streetwise for a race that’s contested by second-division trainers, giving her a big earning chance.

CARTMEL

Race 4 No3 EMPIRE DE MAULDE (Each Way)
Trainer: James Ewart – Jockey: Sean Bowen

EMPIRE DE MAULDE endured a barren season last year and has taken a while for the effects of a fourth wind operation to assist him. However, his form since then has shown marked improvement, and if enjoying some luck in running he can play a big part in the outcome of this staying handicap chase.

Race 5 No3 ISHOLO DU VIVIEN
Trainer: Donald McCain Jnr – Jockey: Theo Gillard

ISHOLO DU VIVIEN found his latest start at Market Rasen coming too soon after a stylish Stratford success, and he had nothing more to give over the last couple of fences. He’s been given longer to get over those exertions, and looks the type that can win again as he moves through the summer season.

BANGOR-ON-DEE

Race 2 No5 GREY SKIES
Trainer: Donald McCain Jnr – Jockey: Brian Hughes

GREY SKIES is another good winning chance for McCain in this two-and-a-half-mile handicap chase. He posted a solid effort to chase home Will Carver at Cartmel and should be ready to open his account under a jockey that’s ridden him in sixteen of his last 17 starts.

Race 4 No9 TEDLEY (Each Way)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

TEDLEY has run well in cheekpieces the last twice to indicate he’s well enough treated to make this a first win in handicap company. He’s one of a select group of horses operating through the summer for a stable that enjoyed a bountiful winter, and can take the spoils at the main expense of Kaleb.

NEWMARKET

Race 3 No5 INHERIT (Nap)
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute – Jockey: Richard Kingscote

INHERIT attracted plenty of support on her seasonal return at Yarmouth when third to Sky Safari in a blanket finish. She encounters better ground than for that narrow defeat, but is a beautifully-bred filly and a win for her here can form the foundation of a bright future.

Race 7 No5 SIGNALMAN
Trainer: John Gosden – Jockey: William Buick

SIGNALMAN tried to go from gate to wire on handicap bow at Sandown, only to have to surrender up the final hill. The grey claimed just a minor cheque, but with the addition of first-time cheek pieces can take advantage of a tempting mark in this mile-and-a-quarter handicap.

NEWCASTLE

Race 4 No9 TIFFANY
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

A fascinating contender for this distaffers’ Group 3 is TIFFANY, who triumphed at this level on her return to action in Germany and is carded to do her best work at the finish now switched to an all-weather surface. The Baden-Baden success was a fourth from her last five outings but importantly she also prevailed on her only previous visit to this course in an apprentices’ handicap last July, since when she’s made huge strides up the class ladder.

Race 6 No6 THEWIND CRIES MARY (Nap)
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

THEWIND CRIES MARY cuts back a tad on the distance ladder after opening her account on her second start over a mile at Haydock, but it’s unlikely to daunt her. The daughter of Inns Of Court represents a trainer whose horses are in the form of their lives, and she’s strongly fancied to follow up.

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 2-8)

10, 5, 1 x 6, 4, 9 x 9, 11 x 9, 11, 13 x 6 x 5 x 2, 7, 4, 6
