UTTOXETER

Race 4 No2 BEAUPORT (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Jordan Nailor

One of the best prospects in his stable, BEAUPORT can put the record straight with a deserved first success of the campaign. He’s found one to beat him on each of his three starts including a Grade 3 at Sandown and it’s interesting that his connections resisted a couple of higher profile engagements at Cheltenham to wait for this.

Race 7 No6 COUPDEBOL
Trainer: Tom George – Jockey: Jonathan Burke

George looks to have found a very good opportunity for COUPDEBOL to endorse the promise shown in two chase outings so far. The grey has gone up 8lb for his recent Warwick success but has more scope for progression than any of his foes.

Race 8 No5 MASTER CHEWY
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: SAM Twiston-Davies

MASTER CHEWY cost his owners a king’s ransom, and looks to be in a good place from which to start paying back that lofty price tag. He ran into one at Chepstow on Rules debut but made that rival Sporting Ace fight for the spoils. He can go one better.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 4 No4 MANOFTHEMOUNTAIN (Nap)
Trainer: Emma Lavelle – Jockey: Thomas Bellamy

A winner of the corresponding race in 2021, MANOFTHEMOUNTAIN makes plenty of sense even though he’s been off the track since mid November. A better operator on better ground, he ran a cracker to finish second in a warm race at Chepstow on seasonal return and though out of the money in the Paddy Power Gold Cup was beaten only just over five lengths in what was effectively a bunch finish.

Race 7 No9 MAJESTIC (Each Way)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Adrian Heskin

One to consider amongst the roughies in this interesting nightcap is MAJESTIC. Channon does well with his few bumper horses and this gelded son of Conduit has shown ability at home.

FONTWELL PARK

Race 3 No4 GALTEE MOUNTAIN (Nap)
Trainer: Pat Murphy – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

GALTEE MOUNTAIN has been with two course and distance successes been responsible for a resurgence in his trainer’s fortunes. He’s up another 5lb for his latest win, but with Sheehan back in the plate and getting weight from all his foes he can complete a fine hat-trick.

Race 6 No5 LINCOLN LYN
Trainer: Tom Gretton – Jockey: James Best

A switch to fences could work the oracle for LINCOLN LYN. The mare picked up a couple of cheques in handicap hurdles and showed she operates best on an easy track. Having schooled well, this figure-of-eight circuit should held bring out the best in her.

NEWCASTLE

Race 7 No3 BRAY DALE (Nap)
Trainer: Nicky Richards – Jockey: Danny McMenamin

Scorpion gelding BRAY DALE looked useful when winning between the flags and since joining this top northern outfit has shown abundant promise. In the colours of the late Trevor Hemmings, he can make a winning debut under Rules.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 2 No5 STRATEGIC FORTUNE
Trainer: John Butler – Jockey: Molly Presland

STRATEGIC FORTUNE landed some good bets with a cosy triumph over this course and distance last week and holds strong claims for this follow-up bid. His case for another win is slightly tarnished by him breaking from the outer, but over a mile and a quarter he should have time enough to obtain a good stalking position.

Race 3 No2 GENERAL SAGO
Trainer: Mike Murphy – Jockey: Shane Kelly

Nine race maiden GENERAL SAGO can show on his seasonal return that there’s nothing wrong with his attitude. He has the best form in the race, and can prove too hot for Lingfield winner Acrion to handle before graduating onto better things.

Race 4 No4 HIGHFIELD PRINCESS (Nap)
Trainer: John Quinn – Jockey: James Sullivan

HIGHFIELD PRINCESS finished just out of the money in the Listed Lady Wulfruna Stakes here last week and is now in calmer waters. She’s back to racing at the minimum trip, but should make light of it and outclass her foes.

Place Accumulater Perm (Races 2-8)

5, 4 x 2 x 4 x 3, 4 x 3, 2 x 4, 2, 5 x 1, 9
